I am not a ladder for climbing.
I am not an outcropping of rocks on which to perch.
I am not a firefighter's pole for sliding down.
I am not a jungle gym for playing on.
I am not a pillow, a blanket, and a bed for curling up comfortably and falling asleep on.
I am not a toy for grabbing.
I am not an obstacle to sitting on a chair that should be removed,
nor am I a chair myself.
There are many things that I am:
a child, a daughter, a student, a learner, a worker, a reader, a writer.Oh, kitten, I can't play now.
There is so much to do.
Well, maybe I can hold you for just a little while.
