Help Me. (Charles Xavier x Reader)

Chapter 2

I'm sitting in the room at the Covert Cia Research Base with the other mutants that I got introduced to when suddenly Raven says "We should think of code names. We're government agents now, we should have secret code names. I want to be called, Mystique."

"Damn, I wanted to be called Mystique." Sean says. Everyone laughs except me.

"Well tough, I called it." She says then transforms into Sean.

We jump back in amazement and she says in Sean's voice " And I'm way more mysterious than you." and we all clap for her.

"Darwin, what about you?" She asks.

"Well, uh, Darwin's already a nickname. And you know, sort of fits. Adapt to survive and all. Check this out." He stands up and walks over to the fish tank and puts his head in it and gills appear on the side of his face. He takes his head out of the fish tank and shakes the water off. A chorus of cheers and claps echo around the room.

"Thank you, thank you." He says.

"Bravo, bravo." Hank says.

"What about you?" He asks and points to Sean.

"I'm going to be...Banshee." Sean says after thinking about it for a moment.

"Why do you want to be named after a wailing spirit?" Hank asks.

"You might want to cover your ears." He says as he walks toward the table a crouches. All of us except, Darwin cover our ears and watch as Sean breaths in some air then whistles and breaks the glass window. The group laughs.

"Your turn." He points to Angel as he walks back to his seat.

"My uh, stage name is Angel. Kind of fits." She takes off her jacket and unferls her wings.

"You can fly?" Raven asks.

"Ah, hah. And uh..." She confirms and spits out a ball of neon green flaming acid through the broken window that lands on the head of the statue.

"What's your name?" She asks Hank as she puts on her jacket.

"How about Big Foot?" Alex jokes drinking his beer.

"Well you know what they say about guys with big feet? And uh, yours are kind of small." She says.

"Okay, now. Alex, what is your gift? What can you do?" Darwin asks Alex.

"Uh, it's not um, I just can't do it. I can't do it in here." He says.

"Can you do it out there?" Darwin asks him.

"Why don't you just do it out there." Raven suggests.

"Come on." Angel says.

"Come on, Alex." Raven encourages.

"Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex!" We all chant and he gets up.

"That's the spirit." Darwin says.

"Get down when I tell you." Alex says as he steps through the broken window. We lean as we watch him though the window.

"Get back." He says.

We move back but lean forward again so we can see him.

"Get back! Whatever. " He says.

He charges up some red energy and lets it go in three hoops and one of them slices the statue.

"You turn." He says pointing to me.

"It's kinda scary, are you guys sure?." I step through the broken window as he goes back into the room.

"Do you want us to chant for you?" Raven asks.

"No, no!" I sigh. "Alright fine, just don't be scared."

"And I'll be called Arc en ceil."

I show off my ability to manipulate glass by collecting the glass that's by the window. I make it into a shield then I turn the glass into various weapons next I turn myself into my glass form, and then make some claws come out of my fingernails. I stop using my mutation and look back at the other mutants and say, "I can do more than that, but that's it."

"You're better at using your powers than the rest of us! Just know we're coming to you if we need help." Raven jokes.

"I don't think I could teach you guys anything.." I whisper to myself as I walk back into the room.

A couple minutes later, the rest of the group starts to mess around and Raven and Angel start to dance around to music on the radio, Sean and Alex are hitting Darwin, who now has armored skin, Hank's swinging upside down on the lights, and I'm sitting in a chair behind them, watch the chaos.

"What are you doing?" A woman with brown hair yells at them.

Angel and Raven stop dancing, Hank gets off the lights, and Alex and Sean stop hitting Darwin, whose armored skin disappears.

"Who destroyed the statue?" She points to the statue behind her.

"It was Alex." Hank immediately admits, looking nervous.

"No. Havok. We have to call him Havok. That's his name now." Raven says.

She steps forward and says, "And we were thinking," She points to Charles. "You should be Professor X," She then points to Erik. "And you should be Magneto."

"Exceptional." Erik says, and then walks away. The woman walks away too.

"I expect more from you." Charles says, disappointedly, before walking away.
