When Leonardo was shoved into the back of a police car, hundreds of reporters began surrounding him, much like the paparazzi usually did.

However, this time, he wasn't smiling for the pictures.

He tried his hardest to keep his tears in, refusing to let anyone see his emotions.

"Never show the world your weaknesses," was the one thing Salvatore had told Leonardo his entire life, and it was now his only motivation.

In the past couple of months, since Leonardo met Mina, he felt that his life gained purpose and excitement, something it greatly lacked before.

While Leonardo knew his papa would scold him for not being careful enough and call him stupid for the millionth time, today he couldn't care less.

Mina was gone, and now there was no purpose to life.

If Leonardo had to choose between watching Mina live happily with Kai or suffer the fate she endured now, he would choose heartbreak, as Mina being without him hurt less than Leonardo being without her forever.

At this point, Leonardo didn't care if he sat in a jail cell for the rest of his life.

All he wanted was Mina.

While the cops raided the Valentina Hotel, Emiliano immediately went into leader mode, directing all the bodyguards to collect Leonardo's weapons and important papers.

Emiliano couldn't believe Mina was dead or that Leonardo was in jail.

His whole life flashed before his eyes.

As Gabriella sobbed for her brother, Mina's body was taken to the hospital since the medic still felt a pulse.

"MINA! I'M SO SORRY!" Kai sobbed as Mina's lifeless body was taken out on a stretcher.

Jack sobbed into his knees, while Morgan, Denise, and the rest of their coworkers made their way over.

After Denise found out Mina was shot and saw her body being taken away on a stretcher, she ran into Jack's arms as they both desperately needed comfort.

"Great job, Kai! You got Leonardo arrested! Sorry about Mina though. At least you can be with Sora now!" Morgan said happily.

Kai tensed at the mention of Sora.

Only Morgan knew of his affair, having found out months before Leonardo's arrival.

While Kai was excited to see Sora, right now it was the last thing on his mind.

Kai couldn't get over the fact that he shot Mina.

The way his heart felt was unlike any other time he experienced loss.

Because this time, he took a life.

"Y-yeah I g-guess."Kai suppressed a sob as he spoke, struggling to hold back his emotions.

Morgan offered comfort by patting his back, while Denise engaged in a tearful conversation with Jack, both of them overcome with sorrow.

"Why did Leonardo shoot her? What did she even do?" Denise quivered.

Jack tensed, fully aware that it wasn't Leonardo who shot Mina, but her own husband.

Without responding to Denise's question, he sought comfortoutside, craving the fresh air, and withdrew his Nokia.

Kai emerged from the hotel and observed Jack's tearful conversation with someone, witnessing his evident distress.

"I don't know if she's dead! NO IT'S NOT HER FAULT! YOUR DAUGHTER IS FIGHTING FOR HER FUCKING LIFE AND ALL YOU ASK IS IF IT WAS HER FAULT? It was not her fault! I don't care I'm being disrespectful! Goodbye."Jack fumed.
