As Yusuf shut the door, Mina's entire body shook violently with nerves and pain.

Her parents truly didn't care for her.

I mean why else would they bring the man Mina said she didn't want back to her?

"Amina come here! It's been so long since you've seen Amir! I told you she got prettier Amir! Don't you agree?" Mariam said smiling.

Amir happily nodded while Mina slowly sat beside Fatima, who held her hand in comfort.

"Sorry about this. She made us swear that we wouldn't tell you." Fatima whispered gently.

Mina tensed in her seat and watched Amir eye her seductively. It was just so uncomfortable and for some reason, Mina would rather be stuck with Kai alone then be in the same room she was now.

Mariam and Yusuf noticed Mina's uneasy composure, before excusing themselves and pulling Mina aside in another room to explain.

"Amina, I know this seems strange but you have to understand where we're coming from! Maybe your husband is the infertile one! I know you love him but, you love the idea of having children more, right? Amir will take care of you mama. He's a good guy." Mariam said smiling.

Yusuf happily nodded at his wife's statement while Mina stiffened in shock.

Did her parents really expect her to marry a man just to have children with?

And besides, Mina didn't know if she was fertile or not because she never did it.

But, she didn't know how to tell her parents that bit.

"N-no. W-why would you bring him h-here? Don't you r-remember all the inappropriate things he said to me before? Why are you guys doing this? I'm already married!" Mina said holding in her tears.

Mariam scoffed at Mina's statement while Yusuf gently stroked her head, trying to calm her.

"Listen Amina. Your mother and I think your husband isn't the right one for you. You're almost twenty five with no children! Your mom had Imran by the time she was eighteen! Everyone in Pakistan asked if you had children and we had to say no! You've been married longer than Imran has and still don't have any kids. We just want you to be happy and have children Amina. You need to understand." Yusuf said gently.

Mina's eyes watered even more at Yusuf's speech.

They acted almost as if it they were ashamed that she didn't have children yet.

Mina knew she was already a failure in her parents eyes but, having no children wasn't her fault. She truly wanted a child but Kai just wouldn't give it to her.

What was she going to do about that?

"NO! I'M LEAVING AND NONE OF YOU ARE GONNA STOP ME! YOU'VE DONE A GOOD JOB BY STAYING OUT OF MY LIFE ALL THESE YEARS, SO YOU SHOULD JUST CONTINUE!" Mina said angrily before storming out the door.

Both Mariam and Yusuf groaned in frustration.

Mina was just so hardheaded! She was never ever grateful for anything they did for her. And this was a great opportunity!

She just didn't want it.

"I uhm sorry Amir. Amina went out for a walk. She'll be back soon. But uhm, we're all going out to eat after Jummah. Would you like join us?" Yusuf said awkwardly.

Amir tensed but shook his head.

"No thanks. I'm going to rest for a bit. But have fun!" Amir said smiling.

Both Yusuf and Mariam nodded in understanding, before getting ready to leave.

Amir knew Mina didn't want him although, wouldn't accept it.
