If you were ever looking for Alyara, you would most likely find her with the Sully family. More precisely, you would find her with the second Sully son, Lo'ak.
Ever since she was young, she was always seen around the Sully children. Neytiri and Jake took care of the girl like she was their own and the children made sure she fit right in with them. Alyara's parents were out of the picture, so the Sully family was all she really knew.
Her and Spider would always tag along with the Sullys and Alyara was quick to observe that Neytiri was more friendly to her than she was with Spider. She would grin or stick her tongue out at Spider whenever Neytiri hugged her and picked her up in her arms which caused the human boy to run off to Neteyam and Kiri.
Lo'ak was usually sitting back away from his siblings and he remembered standing on his own before Alyara showed up. Jake placed her own next to him one day and then she sat down next to Lo'ak instead of running off with Neteyam.
And that's how it's been ever since they were kids. As they grew up, it never changed. Alyara followed Lo'ak around like a lost puppy and he didn't mind it at all. That didn't mean she wasn't close with the others.
Neteyam treated her like another little sister and he taught her the things Jake thought him like how to use a bow. She was terrible at it, but he didn't stop trying to teach her. Kiri was someone Alyara went to whenever she was feeling tired and needed some quiet. Tuk was absolutely adorable and Alyara loved taking care of her when her parents were busy or if her siblings were leaving her out.
The Sullys were the only family she needed and she knew that would never change.
