"And that makes another defeated wild Pokemon", I said as I smiled, "I'm starting to get the hang if being a Pokemon trainer". Though, I only have 2 Pokemon, a Torchic and a Poochyena. I was about to enter Petalburg city, but then someone ran by. They happened to be wearing red with hints of black to them.
"Ah, the infamous Team Magma, what did they this ti-", I was cut off by the sight of a trainer and a certain familiar Pokemon whose colors I happened to recognize. I turned to look and I was slightly disappointed to see that It wasn't Gardevoir, but I was still very happy to see it was Gallade, Gardevoirs other evolution. In a sense to how they look, it's Gardevoir's male counterpart.
"Get back here!", the trainer shouted at the fleeing team. Out of interest for Gallade, I decided to pursue them as well. While chasing them, Gallade used some of his moves and I just watched in awe. His strength was equal to Gardevoir's beauty, but I guess that's to be expected. The team fled north past Oldale town but little did they know it was a dead end. The lone trainer stopped and took a stance and his Gallade did the same. I was amazed on how much coordination they had.
"Persistent Kid", One of the members growled as he sent out a Houndoom. The other member sent out a Mightyena.
"Tch, you guys don't give up easily do you?", the trainer said preparing to fight. "Okay Gallade, use-".
"Wait!", I cut him off as I jump out of my hiding spot. "I know how to deal with them professionally! Go Torchic!", I yell out as I send her out. "Now use ember on the two Pokemon!", but it barely does anything.
"So uh...is that supposed to do something or~...", says one of the members. "Cause we kinda have a battle-", he suddenly gets knocked out by a rogue shoe and the other member gets surprised.
"Was that a shoe...?"
"Hold on...Hold on...Still taking off the other shoe", I say. I finally get the shoe off and I knock out the other member. "Okay trainer, you can take out their Pokemon now", I say stepping aside. The trainer looked very confused and because of what was happening, I don't blame him.
"Uh-uhm...okay then...Gallade use slash!". The Gallade obeys it's trainer and knocks them both out. "Thanks for the help I guess...", the trainer says to me.
"No problem man, but while I'm here...Where'd you catch that guy?", I ask while examining Gallade. "He looks like you've had him for a while if he's that tough...". I hold up and gently rub Gallades blades arm, but he pulls his arm away.
"Actually, my Gallade is a female", the trainer said calmly and normally. My mind just shattered while I was looking at Gallade. It's as if that saying that statement didn't bother him! Gallades are supposed to be male! If it's a female it makes someone uncomfortable!
"I've had her since Ralts, so I raised her myself. I find it great, though I did want a male"
Knew it....
"But I always wanted a Gallade as a companion either way so I'm happy. She makes on hell of a bodyguard that's for sure", he says smiling happily. I look over to Gallade and she's hanging out with Torchic and then think about what he said.
He's...almost like me...
"Hey, the names Daniel, what's yours"
"Kyle, a traveling trainer only looking for heated battles from strong trainers"
"I guess I'll be seeing you in the future then huh?", I say rubbing my head smiling.
"I hope so...Gallade, let's go", he says turning his back to me. Gallade walks over with Torchic on her head and she hands her to me. "Oh and I found her in a grassy area just before Patalburg city, where you saw me chasing Team Magma"
"Wait, you're just gonna leave them unconscious?"
"Yeah, they only stole some money, from the pokemart so I'm just gonna return it"
"But they're criminals, shouldn't you turn them in?"
"They'll just break out again", he says glancing at me, "let then be..."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing but I guess he does have a point. The back of mind just said 'he's hiding something' but I decided to ignore it.
"Okay...well, see you around Kyle"
"Yeah, see you Daniel", he says walking off.
I miss him...I kept his secret this whole time...He was a good friend to me...Especially when she was....
