I rub my cheek gently and I recoil in small pain. The bandage on my cheek covered the wound I had gained recently. It stung and kinda had a burning effect. I sighed and leaned on the edge of the ship that I was currently traveling on and I looked out the ocean and saw some of the water pokemon swimming around. I look to my side and see Kirlia watching in awe as she looks at the pokemon and I smile happily. Things are peaceful on this ship that belongs to an old man.....I realize that without context that sentence seems really creepy...I'm so glad I said it in my head and not out loud...

"Yeah it is pretty creepy...", Kirlia looks up at me giggling. I also forgot to mention that now that Kirlia has evolved she's going to interrupt me when I'm narrating my own life story. "Well, why are you talking to yourself in the first place?". Don't look at me like I'm crazy Kirlia, I'm going to be writing about my life when I'm the champion one day and I need a documentary for how famous I'm going to be so in that documentary there's going to be a book written by me about how I got to the way I am as champion. "Simplify it enough, basically you trained your pokemon really hard....". Don't ruin the magic of my life!!!
I sigh deeply as I look towards Kirlia with a look that says 'Are you serious?'. However, she just returns with a smile that says, 'Yes I'm serious'. Anyways, getting back on track, i'll say what happened after my moment with Kirlia.

I let go of Kirlia from the hug and I pet her head gently, I couldn't tell if what I was feeling was fear or love, but I smiled nonetheless. Soon after, I looked at Rachel and apologized for the way things turned out. She was fear and confusion combined. She tried to play off that she wasn't scared at all but I decided to ignore it and I told her I'd see her in the future as she walked away. I felt like I had lost a rival...and maybe one of my best friends...But I decided to head Dewford like The Stone wanted me to. Yes I call the president of that rock company "The Stone". Why? I don't know...I didn't feel like calling him "The Rock" and it just kinda stuck with me. So I met with The Old man and his Wingull Peeko and I asked for a ride, and like the old man said, he gave me one......Again I realize context is a thing here because of my age, but this old man owns a bird, if anything I see him as a Pirate...

I sit down on the deck and look at Kirlia who walks over with her ballet stance. I cant help but laugh a bit to seeing how adorable she looks....when she's not a raging tornado of anger. I've only looked at Gardevoir the majority of my life and I've never gotten the chance to appreciate her pre-evolutions. I guess now was my chance. I bring Kirlia closer to me and I hug her gently. To keep her rage in check, I decided to keep her out as one of those special pokemon companions, unfortunately replacing Combusken in the process. Kinda like how this one trainer I know has a pikachu for one. I smile and I pet Kirlia's head gently avoiding her red horns because apparently that's a big no no. I never found out why.
"I don't mind....if it's you Daniel...", Kirlia says looking down her red horns getting warm. And with that reaction I'm never going to touch those god damn horns. I look in the distance to see Dewford town and I stand up and I get ready to go. My excitement begins to show as I am making more progress on my quest to be the champion. I step onto the dock completely ignoring what the old man pirate has to say and I take a look around shouting, "Look out everybody! Newest Hoenn Champion to be, Coming through!". I raise my fist into the sky and I look up with fierce eyes of determination.......I also look up because I don't want to notice that people think I look stupid. I find a nice spot next to town and I set up my tent with the help of Kirlia's Telekinesis. Once done, I look at Kirlia, "Alright, let's go see where I can find Stone's son Steven". So I ask around town. Sadly, people saw that I was a trainer and told me something about their lives or some random fact that didn't even apply to my question Where can I find Steven Stone...

I sigh deeper. Time to take matters into my own hands. I decide to walk out of town and towards the mountains. He's The Stone's son so he has to like rocks or something rocky, maybe rock type pokemon. I was stopped though by a random fisherman, now immediately I thought he was trying to sell me fish pokemon, but instead he wanted a battle. He seemed polite about it since he wasn't completely in my way, in fact he was standing in between two rocks not even near the water...and he was sitting down...trying to fish. I did what he wanted and battled him and he sent out a Magikarp. As soon as he did I shed a single tear. He was a simple fisherman. He wasn't a trainer in anyway shape or form. I quickly put the Magikarp out of his misery by Kirlia's attacks and she looked at me like I was a weirdo. She will never understand the torture of owning a Magikarp. I've read so many books about how long it takes to train a Magikarp. It's a horrible thing to do. The time it takes, the patience one must have, the dedication, the commitment. I was so glad I never had to even think about catching one before. I look out into the ocean for some soothing thoughts and I look out into the beach I see some Magikarps splashing in the distance. I sat down and I watched them with a smile. That was until one of them appeared from underwater and he was Shiny and Gold.

I freeze up, my mind empty and thoughtless. So I did what every other man would do...

I sighed, "Alright...Let's get this over with...", and I threw off my backpack as well as my shirt and pants and I swam out to the ocean to go get it.
