The Journey and Arrival

Watching all of the action from a distance seems so surreal. As we sped past the giant crater, it was like a fireworks show but this show was full of real life consequences. All my Pokemon watched in both awe and fear because it was a terrifying but beautiful sight to see. Fire, Water, Grass, and even Beams of Psychic energy clashing with one another. I can only wonder what Red is going through. In all honesty I'm surprised he's still alive after all this time. 5 days of nothing but chasing and battling a Jacked-on-wrathful-psychic-energy Gardevoir...Holy Crap...

I shook my head and I looked past Sootopolis and towards Ever Grande City. It was actually pretty close to Sootopolis so that meant that it was a good place to set up base camp for the assault that was going to be arranged by the Elite 4 and Stephen. I didn't want it to be this way. I took a deep breath and I exhaled it slowly and I go to the front of the ship and I look back at everyone.
"Alright everyone, I want you to know that we're coming up on Ever Grande City. The place that Steven Stone, the one who started all this, is currently hiding out. I don't want to lie to any of you but this is definitely going to be a difficult battle. One that...I'm sure is going to be a life changer for everyone in the Hoenn Region. I want to make this clear...If any of you are having second thoughts about following me into this battle then I won't blame you for staying here."
I looked down and felt my heart pounding. I needed all the help I could get at this point but, what was the point if-

I felt a hand on my shoulder and it was Sceptile who looked at me and smiled and held a thumbs up and he stepped aside and everyone was hyped up for this. Blaziken cheered, Pelipper flew around happily, and Swampert Rose his hands in the air. Mightyena yawned, and...I guess...it means...he's hyped...?

I smiled at all of them and a wave of relief rushed over me. I look at Ever Grande City, "Then this is the moment we've all been waiting for! Hoenn's Champion-to-be is going to finally going to make his mark on this regio-".

I was cut off again by the sight of bird and dragon pokemon taking off in the direction of Sootopolis city. The assault on Gardevoir has begun. I watch as all the trainers fly by, some close to the water and some high up in the sky. I searched among them and when I looked toward the front of the ship I could barely see him. He was too fast for me to see entirely but it was as if time froze when our eyes met as Steven Stone flew by on his Skarmory. He grinned at me and then continued flying by.
I ran to the back of the ship and I yelled at the Captain, "Captain Briney! Turn this ship around, We need to head toward Sootopolis!". He nodded and immediately turned the ship around and we headed straight for Sootopolis. I kept up with a majority of the trainers who were part of the assault and they all flew over the edge of the crater into the city that was still showing signs of Red and Gardevoir's battle. I kept watching the sky hoping to see a trace of Steven but I couldn't find him anymore on the craters edge. I gritted my teeth and I returned everyone except Swampert into their pokeballs and I look over at Captain Briney who looks back at me,
      "Lad...What are you doing?"
I smile at him and say, "Thanks for the Ride...Old man...",

      "Wait Lad, Don't-!".
Turning away from him I shout, "Swampert Use Dive!". I hopped onto Swampert's back and he hops over the dividing rocks and under the water. Captain Briney stopped his ship just in time so that he wouldn't crash into them and looked at me as he did. I didn't want the Captain to get caught up in a battle that wasn't his to begin with. Swampert dashed through the underwater caverns ignoring all the water pokemon that stood in our way and we finally reach the eye of the crater where light shown up above us. I stare at the light and I make Swampert rise up to quickly get a handle on where Steven was.

However...Steven suddenly became the least of my worries...

We rose from the water and all around me, the City of Sootopolis was in ruins, and all around the Crater were the bodies of trainers who were handpicked by the Elite 4 and I  noticed I was near the back where the Underground Cavern had opened up to. In the front I saw a handful of things. I saw two members of the Elite 4 injured and I saw Steven Stone standing in front of them behind a man in all Red who wore glasses and they were just watching from beside the ruined Pokemon supermarket. I looked in the direction they were intently watching and Red, who was standing behind his 3 pokemon and Gardevoir were having a stare down with each other in front of a large tree. My eyes widened a bit more after seeing her. She was covered in cuts and bruises, but so was Red and his pokemon and they were both breathing heavily.

I didn't want to be another bystander. I slowly stand up on Swampert's back, drenched in water and take a deep breath.

"GARDEVOIR!!!", I yelled at the top of my lungs, gaining the attention of everyone still conscious. I breathe heavily and she looks at me with heartless, lifeless, cold eyes. They widened at me then turned into a glare. "I didn't want this! I didn't want any of this! You know that don't you!". I made Swampert slowly move forward in the water. Gardevoir just keeps glaring at me emotionless. "I want you to know that I didn't know you felt that way about me...and I will not lie, I never looked at you like that...", when I said that her left eye twitched slightly. I don't understand why she's angry, I don't want to be arrested under the pretense of being a pokephile. "But look...I want you to know that I still care about you...You don't have to do this anymore...I can take care of you way better than I have and way better than I ever will....You and me can go back to living the life and going on our adventure within the region and then become the champions together...". I made it to the patch of land that Red and Gardevoir were on and I saw in Gardevoir a tear start to form. She's not entirely gone, and I can still save her and maybe I'll go to prison for being an incompetent trainer and letting their pokemon commit crimes and destroy cities and do all of these horrible things.

I stepped toward her gently. I didn't care about all of that though. I just wanted life to go back to normal and maybe. Just maybe. When all is said and done, we can live like Kyle and Gallade. I stood in front of her and she looked up at me with her cold heartless eyes...filled with tears that began running down her face and she used her hands to rub the tears away but I gently pull her into a hug and she cries loudly. I pet her head gently. Maybe this is it. Maybe this is the last time i'll ever have to calm her down from her wrath. Her Jealous Rage. Maybe we can-

Like always, I was interrupted, but this time it was like time itself had stopped just to show me this action. The action of an Aggron about to use Dragon Claw on me, but a familiar body pushing me out of the way of my own death...to make it his own...
