"My Arceus, I can't believe you grew in 5 days...WITHOUT ME, WHY ARE YOU TALLER THAN ME NOW BLAZIKEN", I say to Blaziken standing next to me, but she suddenly cowers behind the ship wall. Her appearance may have, but She hasn't changed one bit. I laugh a bit and I pet Blaziken's head....reaching up a bit on my toes.
"Everything all right up there Lad?", Captain Briney called up to me.
"Yeah no problem here", I called back to him. I look forward and I lean on the railing of the ship, I guess Briney went back home after dropping me off at Slateport so he wasn't caught in the fray of the Gardevoir Incident. Not gonna lie but kind of a dick move, I mean, what if I needed a ride back home. Oh well, I'm glad he's okay. I close my eyes and look back at the events of earlier today.
Kyle looks at my evolved Pokemon and is surprised. He sees my determination and courage and that i'm not gonna be backing down from this challenge. I stare at him trying to keep my behind-the-mind fear in check. I try not to show him how I'm trembling.
"Then...you're really serious...", Kyle said as he stopped resisting. I said nothing, it should've been obvious. "Then, Take them with you as well", He said tossing two pokeballs into the air and out come Sceptile and Swampert. Sceptile crosses his arms and Swampert comes up to me and nods. Rachel's Swampert. I guess he found his way to Kyle after Rachel was injured and wanted to avenge her somehow. I really understand how he feels.
I nod at Kyle and I smile, "Thank you", and I run off. I had thought I heard Kyle say, "Time for us to get to work", As I ran away from him but maybe it was my imagination. I ran back to Slateport to happily see it was being rebuilt and that a memorial was in place for those that had perished. I stopped for a second to see the names and pay my respects, but i accidentally bumped into a man wearing all red and had glasses on. I apologized and so did he and we kept on our separate ways but something told me that that wasn't going to be the last I saw of him. I went to the dock to see Captain briney unloading supplies for the people of Slateport, there I had asked him for a ride.
"Lad!", Captain Briney called out waking me up from my little daydream, "I hope you know that what you're asking is almost crazy".
"Yeah well you're an old man, aren't the elderly naturally crazy?", I yell back.
"You have a point there lad, still, has this ever been attempted?"
"It's going to be....by us..."
"We're all going to die...", He tried to mumble.
"SHUT UP AND HAVE FAITH IN THE CHAMPION-TO-BE", I yelled at him. What he's referring to is my idea to blast the ship over the rocky area separating water routes from each other. For some reason they always block the way so boats can't just go from Slateport to Ever Grande so easily. I don't wanna go all the way and ask for the Slateport Sailors to pull our ship onto land, over to the Water Route that leads to Pacifidlog town, and then over to Sootopolis and then Ever Grande, and blah de blah we're doing my plan, its better.
"Ready Captain?!!", I called out to him, and he gives me a nervous thumbs up. I look a bit away in front of us, "Ready Swampert?", I call out and he nods, "Alright Captain, Full Speed Ahead!!", and I point forward excited. I always wanted to lead a charge, cross that off the ol' bucket list. Blaziken held onto me afraid, Mightyena was asleep inside the Cabin, and Sceptile was sitting on top of the ship meditating....You know, why do all the pokemon I have always don't care....and Pelipper was flying up above. "Swampert use Surf!", I yelled out, and a small tidal wave appeared behind us as we sped forward. We slowly rise with the wave and its barely to it's limit, "It's gonna be close", I said holding onto the railing until we slowly start descending before the rocks, "No! Captain put it to full power!".
"It is Lad! I can't pull the lever any more forward!", He yells out. I close my eyes and brace for impact until suddenly we get blasted higher and over the rocks. I look behind us and a Shiny Golden Magikarp had used Water Gun with Swampert to blast the ship over. I smile happily and I pull out their pokeballs returning. We land on the otherside of the rocks and I celebrate happily, "WE'RE ALIVE!!", I hug Blaziken tightly and I look at Swampert's pokeball and Magikarp's pokeball. I let out Swampert and I pet his head, and I let out Magikarp into the water and I look at him and with a serious look I ask, "How the hell did you get out of your pokeball?".
He looks at me and shrugs. SINCE WHEN THE HELL COULD FISH SHRUG?!! I laugh a bit, "Good job Magikarp....All right everybody, this is only the first step, we're now in the open sea, our next stop is Ever Grande City! We confront Stephen and we get the answerss we want all before Gardevoir and Red are done with their battle! Let's Go!!!". I raise my fist into the air triumphantly, and we go forward passing the water routes. Our Destination and our goal in mind, we all look forward to the next part of our adventure.
