18. Birthday Girl

A week later

I woke up to the smell of breakfast. I check my phone and see lots of happy birthday notifications.

I'll get to those later.

I walk downstairs and into the kitchen. Mason is sitting down at the table making a card. Meanwhile mom and dad are making breakfast.

Mom turns around. "¡Feliz cumpleaños hija mía!" she says as she makes her way towards me. She gave me a big hug.

"I can't believe your 18 now!" dad says joining the hug.

"It seems like it was just yesterday when you and Pedri were young playing outside." he adds.

I start smiling. I have a feeling today is gonna be a good day.

Pablo's Pov

Me and Pedri are waiting to board the plane. A couple days ago we talked to Anna's parents.

They wanted us to come for her birthday and Christmas. Since we don't have a game until the 31st, we thought it'll be fine to stay.

"Flight 13 to France is now boarding." the lady over the intercom says.

We both got up and boarded the plane.

I can't wait to see my Anna again.

Anna's Pov

I am so excited for tonight! We're going out to eat dinner. Mia is gonna come along with us.

I hear a knock at the door and I run over. I open it and there stands Mia with a gift in one hand and a bag in the other.

"Happy birthday babes!" Mia says as she walks in.

"Thank youu." I reply.

She hands me the present. "Open it! You'll love it!" she says.

I begin to unwrap the present. I open the box and there lays a silver necklace with a small heart.

"If you look closely our letters are engraved on it." she adds.

I look closely at it. A&M are engraved on the heart.

"Aww thank you so much Mi!" I say as I give her a hug.

"Of course bestie!" she replies.

We both decide to go upstairs to plan what we're gonna wear.

Mia decides to wear a short dark red dress and some gold heels.

But I have a harder time to find one. I pull out a dark green and a black short tight dress.

I come out of my closet wearing the black dress.

Mia's mouth opens wide. "Oh my god. That's the one!" she exclaims.

I start smiling and I put the other stuff I got out away.

We decide to start getting ready early so we can get some pictures done.

I turn on our playlist and head to the bathroom. I plug in the straightener and wait for it to heat.

While I wait, I brush out my hair and spray on some heat protector.
