The day the Solace's have been dreading most.
Julia Rosa Solace's funeral.
A knock on my bedroom door, "Hey hunny. It's time to get up. You have too get ready." Dad says.
I groan, "I can't do this Dad."
He comes into my room and sits at the end of the bed.
"I know. Honestly I don't think I can either. But we have too be there for your mom. Plus, you have your speech."
I nod my head, "Right. The speech."
He places a gentle kiss on my temple. "You've got it. Come out when you're ready too go."
I slowly get out of bed. Looking through the closet, I found a black dress and a pair of black heels. The heels my mom loved most.
I go into the bathroom and start curling my hair. The hairstyle mom also loved most.
Mom always said I was so pretty I never needed to wear makeup.
I can feel tears begin to form, causing my vision too go slightly blurry.
I blink them away, trying not too mess up my mascara.
When I go back, I get dressed and look in the mirror.
There was a knock at the door. "Come in." I say quietly.
Gavi comes in all dressed in a suit.
"How are you feeling, amor?" He asks as he steps closer.
"Not great." I saw as I continuously fix my hair.
He turns me around and places my hands down by my side.
"Anna stop. You look fine."
"It's not that. I-I just don't think I can do this." I say softly.
He looks at me with a confused look. "You can do it. Okay, and if you get nervous, just look at me in the audience."
"Thank you."
"Of course, Anna."
"Can you help me zip up my dress?" I ask.
He nods and turns me around. His finger slightly rub against the top of my back, causing shivers running down my spine.
He zips its up and places a gentle kiss on my neck.
Then he takes the gold necklace from my desk and places it around my neck.
My heart warms watching him slightly stick his tongue out, trying to get the clasps together.
He wraps his arms around me and rests his chin on my head.
"Tu mamá estaría muy orgullosa de ti."
(You're mom would be very proud of you)
I sigh against him, "Dios, espero que lo sea"
(God, I hope she is.)
He places multiple kisses on my head. "Sé que lo es."
(I know she is.)
He pulls me by my waist and places a soft kiss on my lips. I spend no time kissing him back.
I take a deep breathe and walk out of the bedroom door, Gavi following behind.

We arrived at the funeral.
People walking inside, all wearing black.
The sky is cloudy, and nothing feels real.
"You ready?" Gavi asks.
All I can do is nod.
We both get out of the car.
As I walk through the grass, I stop. Gavi stops walking and makes his way next too me.
