38. Getaway

Pablo and I both agreed we'd have a little gathering after the Croatia game.

So we decided to have a little getaway for a couple days before the upcoming pre season.

We decided to invite Pedri and Mia. As well as Aurora and her boyfriend Javi.

"So, what's for dinner?" Pedri asks, coming into the kitchen.

Me, Mia and Aurora were making dinner whilst the boys were outside in the backyard playing a game.

"You'll just have to wait and see." Mia winks at him, causing Pedri to blush.

Me and Aurora look at each other and try not to laugh, as we watched Pedri get flustered.

We tried to keep the dinner somewhat healthy for Pedri and Gavi.

I proceeded to work on a salad, meanwhile Aurora and Mia worked on a shrimp pasta.

We could hear the boy's faint yelling in the background.

Aurora turns her head. "So Anna, do you think Pablo will propose?"

The kitchen is dead silent. "I have no idea. Don't get me wrong, I would obviously say yes, but in the future."

The girls shake their heads, understanding my answer.

"So you'd say no if he were to do it right now?"

Gavi's POV:

I came inside to get some water for myself, Pedri and Javi.

I almost make it to the kitchen when I hear Anna's voice. So I stop and listen.

"I would say no if he proposed. Can we talk about something else now?"

My stomach began to form in knots.

She doesn't wanna get married to me?

I mean I'm too young to propose and wanna wait a couple years.

But she'd still say no?

"Dinner!!" Aurora calls out.

I wait for the guys. "Where were you man?" Javi asks.

"Sorry, I had to use the bathroom." I mumble and make my way into the kitchen.

I swiftly walk past Anna so I can begin plating my food.

"This looks delicious!" Pedri exclaims as he begins taking some salad and placing it onto his plate.

Once everyone has their food, we decide to eat outside on the patio.

"I found this adorable picture of me and Pablo when we were younger! Anna I'll have to show it to you!" Aurora mentions.

Anna lifts her head up. "You totally should! Pablo was so cute as a little kid."

Even though I was upset at her earlier, my heart began to warm and a smile creeps onto my face.

I decide to let what happened in the kitchen go. I don't wanna ruin our time together.

Anna's POV

The boys began taking away our plates and cleaning up as us girls continue having our conversation.

Mia turns her head and looks into the house we rented for the weekend. "They finally do something for once."

The three of us begin laughing. We pick our drinks and make a toast.

To girlhood!

We touch glasses and proceed to take a sip of our drinks.
