Alas, all good things must come to an end

Gyuri had ended her day by sitting by Han river and watching a movie as she ate whatever snacks she had mindlessly bought from the convenience store.

Now, a day later, she was packing her bag for classes. Glasses, notebooks, laptops, pencil case, she had everything she needed to become the best social worker she could

She checked the time and decided on stopping by the shop before classes, simply because in the midst of seeing Heeseung and the confusion that his appearance bough, the girl had forgotten her ID card in her locker.

Swinging the door open brightly, the girl greeted whoever was working cheerfully and made her way to the locker.

After retrieving what she had come for, Gyuri left the back rooms and locked the door

She was about to leave when the new clocks that had just been delivered caught her eye.

My, it was wonderful.

The clock was shaped like a key hole, the head was an octagon that was surrounded with golden leaves. The hand of the clock were long and shiny, it was such a sight to see.

Gyuri was about to make her way to get a closer look when she was tapped on the shoulder from behind.

"Excuse me, could I get some help?"

Are you kidding me? Dumb customer, can't you see that I'm not wearing my uniform? Leave me alone!

The girl grit her teeth and turned around. "Sir, I'm actually not working right now. If you will, I'd like to redirect you to-"

She caught sight of who had asked for her assistance.

Lee Heeseung.

What the hell.

Gyuris eyes widened in shock, her mouth forming an 'o' shape.

Heeseung smiled at the girl brightly and waved his hands.

"Hey, long time no see, huh?"

Um yes. Very long time no see. Let's keep it that way.

Gyuri awkwardly laughed and waved her hand back.

"Hey there, didn't expect to see you here." She stammered, looking anywhere but him.

"Really? I guess you running after you saw me yesterday should have been a hint for me-"

"No! Nono, I wasn't running from you, I was just late." Gyuri made up a half believable excuse on the spot.

"Late?" Heeseung asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, late for school. Which by the way..." Gyuri peeked at the time displayed behind Heeseung and gasped. "I'm late again! No-" she attempted to push past Heeseung.

The boy knew better than to let the girl go, so he awkwardly tried to grab onto her to make her stop. Unluckily, the first thing his hand made contact with was Gyuris bag, which happened to split open in that very moment.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry-" Heeseung stared

Gyuri sucked in her breath frustratedly.

"No it's fine. Karma I guess." She hurriedly picked up her belongings

"Wait, I have a spare bag here. Tote bag, yay!" Heeseung awkwardly offered. "Seriously, take it. It's the least I can do."

Gyuri hesitantly accepted the bag and stuffed all her belongings in it. "Thanks Lee, I owe you one."

"Really?" The boys eyes brightened up, immedietly leaving Gyuri with a feeling that she would regret saying that.

"When's your next shift? I could really use some help picking out a good watch" he
Heeseung smiled, knowing that he had the girl trapped.

"Tomorrow afternoon." Gyuri replied, ready to go to the class that she was already late for

Gosh, Gyuri really did have to work on her time management skills.

"Nice, I'll see you then." Heeseung bid goodbye

Nice. Another problem for Gyuri to deal with.

-

Tomorrow afternoon was now today afternoon which was now.

Pretty confusing, right?

Gyuri walked around the store, making sure everything was in place and that nothing was dirty.

She was so eager to get rid of Heeseung from her radar that she had gone over every single watch in the store and studied them.

The quicker Heeseung was out of her hair, the less she would have to think about the past.

Heeseung entered the store 10 minutes before it closes.

Ugh, he was one of those.

In his hand, he carried two warm almond crossaints.

"For you." He said, handing the girl one bag.

"So, let's get this over with."

It took 8 minutes for Gyuri to show Heeseung the best models in the store, while also providing him with basic information about the watches. During that time, she had also managed to devour the crossaint she had so generously received

"Maybe you should come back later and talk to Yuta, he's the expert in watches. And we close the store in two minutes..." Gyuri said as she looked at the dark and gloomy sky outside.

"For real? I'm sorry for wasting your time, you should have said something earlier." Heeseung said.

"It's ok, gotta serve my heart on a platter to my customers, am I right?" The girl joked, trying to make him feel less guilty.

"No seriously, I don't even want a watch. I just needed a way to talk to you, and I figured that coming to the store was my best option." Heeseung revealed.

Are you kidding? Gyuri had shed her blood, sweat and tears into making sure Heeseung got his money's worth, only to find out that he wasn't serious about getting anything to begin with.

"Close up, I'll wait for you outside." Heeseung said, leaving the store.

Hold up, why would he wait for me. We're not going to hang out now, are we?

Gyuri walked outside after closing up to see him still standing there.

I guess we really are doing this.

Gyuri was about to speak up when the sky decided to thunder. And then rain slightly. And that slight rain turned into a heavy downpour.

The two turned to look at eachother.

"Do you have a ride?" Heeseung asked.

Gyuri shook her head, dumbfounded. What was she going to do?

Heeseung grabbed her hand and took off his jacket, covering the top of both their heads.

What is this, are we in a drama right now?

"Count of three. One...two..."

Heeseung didn't wait for three, suddenly Gyuri was being dragged by the male through the rain, headed directly towards the convenience store that was a few metres away.

The two hadn't felt this alive in years.
