Oh no, she was in trouble.

                   Gyuriiiii
Lee, I can't hang out today.
Lee I'm not free
Lee please respond
Lee, don't come to my house.
Lee did not reply to Gyuri at all. To take it a step further, Lee didn't even see Gyuris message.
And now the girl was eagerly waiting on the porch of her house, sitting on the entrance steps and harshly chewing her thumb.
Finally, a back van pulled up.
I'd like to thank my mum, my dad, my brother and the person that hired me for blessing me today and helping to prevent a tragedy from occuring
The door of the van opened, abd Gyuri abandoned her post, running to the vehicle.
"LEE! FINALL-" nope, it wasn't Heeseung. It was Gyuris parents. Tregedy had not been avoided. If anything, it had been heightened.
"Baby girl I didn't know you'd be so excited to see us" Gyuris mum enthusiastically welcomed her daughter into a warm hug.
Although Gyuri did feel a little disappointed that Heeseung weren't there, she still accepted her mum's hug happily.
"Who's Lee?" Her father asked, unloading ths trunk.
Gyuri played dumb. "Huh? Who's Lee?"
"I don't know, you shouted his name when the we came."
"Oh that? I said Yipee! It rhymes...?" What a terrible cover up.
Gyrus dad nod his head, not fully convinced.
"Let's head inside then!"
-
Soobin was beyond ecstatic, his plan to suprise his parents had worked amazingly well.
They had never guessed that Soobin would take a break from studying overseas, just to meet them.
"Soob! My boy, how are you?" The dad pat his son on the back lovingly.
"Great dad, I missed you." He engaged in a family group hug, pulling Gyuri in too.
"Gyuri dear, would you mind putting away my bag? Then we can open gifts. We bought a lot of souvenirs!"
Gyuri happily accepted the bag and ran upstairs to put it into its respective position.
She had seemed to forget about her dilemma with Heeseung
The doorbell rang downstairs. Sadly, it wasn't heard by the girl.
So naturally, the door was answered by someone else. Whoever was closest to it.
And that person happened to be Gyuris mum.
Gyuri head downstairs and-
"Lee?"
-
Her parents had insisted that Heeseung stay for lunch, seeing that he had come to their house expecting to hang out with a certain someone.
"So Heeseung." Her dad started, putting down his cup of water after taking a long sip from it.
"How did you and Soobin meet?"
The Choi siblings looked confused.
"Dad, he's not here for me, he's friends with Gyuri."
At the mention of their daughters names, both parents redirected their full attention to the conversation.
For years, they had begged the girl to invite her friends over for a sleepover, make plans with classmates to have fun outside and even tried to force her to meet kids around her age, just so she could have a friend.
Nothing had ever worked.
"Oh my! Out Gyuri has a friend over!" Her mum exclaimed, putting more food on Heeseungs plate and telling him to eat more.
"This is interesting, how did you and Gyuri meet?" Her dad spoke up happily.
They didn't care who Gyuri was friends with, as long as they were a good person. And Heeseung seemed to be a good person, so it was more than enough for The Choi siblings parents.
"We met back in highschool, but we only just became close."
"Hold on." Her mum broke out, holding her hands in the air and making everyone look at her. "Are you perhaps...Lee Heeseung?"
Heeseung confusedly nod his head. Had he been unwillingly exposed? Did Gyuris mother know who he was? Was Heeseung about to get photos of him leaked?
"Honey, Lee! Gyuri called out his name when we arrived! She was waiting for him!"
Heeseung let out the breath he had been holding, clearly relieved.
"You're right! You must be very close to our daughter then. Make sure you take care of her, and stay out of trouble."
"Dadddd that's enough. I'm an adult, I can take care of myself." Gyuri moaned. It wasn't an embarassing situation, but she still felt like it could escalate into one
Suddenly, Heeseung yelled and climbed into his chair. "I-ITS A SPIKE B-BALL!" he yelled, clearly petrified.
The whole family lifted the table cloth and looked under, only to find a very familiar hedgehog.
"Soobin! You take Odi away right now, or you'll scare Gyuris friend." Her mum sternly scolded their oldest son.
"Friend? Are you sure they're just friends?" Soobin whispered teasingly, making sure that Gyuri was the only one that was able to hear him.
Regardless, Soobin took Odi away.
"Well kids, I'm happy we got to share a meal together. Why don't you go off with Heeseung now?" The dad suggested, collecting all the dishes into a neat pile.
"Are you sure? What about the souvenir-"
"Oh don't worry about that!" The mum interrupted, waving her hand dismissively. "Go on, enjoy your free time"
Heeseung stood up after Gyuri did and bowed respectfully. "Thankyou for having me, the meal was delicious."
Gyuris parents smiled fondly at the boy and shooed them out of the house.
