And now, the Choi family were frustratedly waiting at the airport.
Soobins Gate was supposed to open at 8.00am, however due to some delays and lack of staff, he wasn't able to.
It was now 8.45, and Gyuri was getting restless. Soobin stood by her side, constantly checking his phone for the time.
"Gyuri..." He started uneasily.
"No. I won't leave til I see you go."
"Why hasn't the gate opened yet? Let me go speak to someone"
"It's no use darling, I've already tried." The father spoke.
8.50 now, and Soobin decided it was time that he knock some sense into his sister
"Look at me. After I check in, I'll still be here for like 3 hours. Able to use my phone. Go to Heeseung now, win him over and tell me about it after.
"But-"
"Go!" He pushed her.
Ok, she was really going to do this.
The girl ran outside the airport after giving Soobin an enormous hug and a big fat kiss on the cheek.
"Where is she going?!" Her mum yelled, only for Soobin to take control of the situation
Gyuri hailed a taxi and jumped inside the car in no time, seeing that people these days only used uber and told the driver her desired location.
"Sir, if you step on it, I'll pay you extra." She ushered as she checked the time. 08.59
"Kid, we're not in a movie." The driver chuckled to himself, leaving Gyuri as an embarassed mess.
Heeseung stood at the bridge they had been at about a month ago, bunch of flowers in one hand, checking the time in the other.
09.40
Dejectedly, the boys hopes were shattered. Maybe Gyuri had decided to forfeit her feelings last minute and not give them a chance.
The boy sighed and looked up at the sky longingly. Was this how his first love was going to end? It was sorrowful.
"She didn't come, did she?" Sunoo spoke from the phone. He had been accompanying Heeseung digitally as he has waited for his lover.
"Come over to mine. We can eat ice-cream together, ok?" Sunoo spoke, knowing Heeseungs answer.
"I'll hang up now." Heeseung replied, stuffing his phone into his pocket.
The boy walked off the bridge, shoulders slumped and depressed.
"LEE HEESEUNG, DON'T YOU DARE WALK OFF THAT BRIDGE!"
Astonished, the boy felt hope rising in his chest.
He turned around and saw his lovely Gyuri, panting and catching her breath.
A man ran after her, yelling something along the lines of 'you haven't paid yet!'
Ignoring the man, Gyuri used her last ounce of strength to run to Heeseung on the bridge.
She snatched the flowers out of his hands and enthusiastically inahled them. "These are for me, right?"
Heeseung was perplexed. How did he go from being heartbroken to optimistic within a few second? He nod his head regardless.
"Lee, I like you so much that it hurts." Gyuri spoke, holding Heeseungs hand in her own.
The boy felt like a 15 year old highschool student who had a crush.
"Are you willing to give us a chance? Will you be my boyfriend?"
A tear escaped from Heeseungs eyes. He had never thought that he would find love. Or that someone would be willing to love him like Gyuri did.
The boy nod his head and embraced the girl Infront of him.
"I love you so much." He whispered into the girls ear, making her cry aswell.
They pulled apart from eachother and looked at eachothers faces, laughing hard.
"Aww, look at my baby crying." Heeseung cooed
"Whatever, you cried first" Gyuri giggled, wiping her tears.
An interruptive cough was heard from the side of the bridge.
"This is a touching scene and all, but you still haven't paid me miss."
Heeseung snorted and Gyuri left him, running to the man to give him the money he was owed.
"Sorry about that sir, thankyou for your patience." She said as she hurriedly took out her wallet and handed the man some cash. She couldn't wait to get back to Heeseung who was standing awkwardly alone on the bridge.
The taxi driver smiled and shook his head. "Don't mention it, a love so pure like yours is hard to come by these days. I wish you many years of happiness." He smiled and then left the new couple alone.
Gyuri walked back to Heeseung, a bright and displayed on her face. "Now, where were we, boyfriend?"
Heeseung held back a smile at the words 'boyfriend' and spoke. "We need to work on your time management skills, girlfriend."
