A whole month.
A whole month had gone by.
No more messages between the friends.
No more quick meet ups before work or school.
No more spontaneous trips to eachothers houses or companies.
That's what the past month had looked like to the friends.
Gyuri had now completed her term and was on a long and sought after holiday. She was spending her days of freedom with Soobin, who would soon be returning to the U.S to study.
And ofcourse, she had thought alot about Heeseung too. The girl had supported Heeseung from the sidelines in anyway she could as he pushed his way through promotions.
Heeseung, on the other hand, was using up the last of his energy to get to the finish line. Once they were done with work, the group had a sweet long break waiting for them
It was so close.
It was the last night of work, and the group had finished preforming on a random show.
They took celebratory photos in their waiting room and ate cake. Everyone was happy and present in the moment. Cheerful vibes flew through the air. Everyone was happy.
Heeseung? Heeseung couldn't stop thinking about Gyuri.
Oh, how fun would it be if she were here right now. Gyuri would like the cake that they were eating.
The members finished up, saying their goodbyes to all the staff after thanking them.
The group got into one large van together and made their way home.
"You'll be going on a plane?" Everyone was astonishingly looking at Niki. "Alone?"
"Yep. I'm going back to Japan to suprise Hana for now. Oh yeah, and my family." He boasted cheerfully.
"I'll be staying at Hyeri's, mum and dad aren't home right now. Wish me luck, her mum's kind of scary..." Jay spoke, making everyone laugh.
"So, everyone else is going home?" Jungwon asked as he put on his bag.
No one was willing to waste anytime, the boys were heading out as soon as they got home, eager to return to their loved ones.
"Not me." Heeseung spoke. "I'll be enjoying a quiet house all to myself." He smiled and flopped onto the couch, feeling nothing short of exhausted.
The group looked at him quizzically. "Why?"
"My families moving houses, so everything's a mess. I figured it'd be easier if I stayed here for now." He explained, making everyone understand the reasons behind his decisions.
"Well, we'll be going now! Call us if you feel lonely, we can hang out." All the boys said as they left the house one by one.
And finally, Heeseung was left all alone.
Fishing his phone out of his pocket, the boy went on Instagram and called a certain someone from there.
After a few rings, she picked up
"Hello?" Her honey like voice smoothly drifted through the air, immedietly relaxing Heeseung.
"Hey."
"Lee? Have you finished promotions? Ohmygod I have so much to tell you" the girl squealed excitedly. "Rest up now so we can meet up soon, ok?"
Heeseung didn't stop himself from blurting out his inner wishes. "come over."
Gyuri paused on the other side. "It'll be like 9 when I get there, you sure you don't wanna sleep?"
"Just come." Heeseung barely whispered. He was really tired. "I'll send you the address."
True to her words, Gyuri had arrived at the enhypen dorms just after 9 p.m
Heeseung had opened the door so quickly. Gyuri would never know that he had been sitting outside the door, waiting for the doorbell to go off.
They quickly exchanged their hugs and greetings and made their way to the sofa in the living room.
All the lights were off, making Heeseung feel sleepy.
Eventually, Gyuris eyes started to droop aswell.
"I'm tried, I should go home-"
"Stay. We can have a sleepover."
Gyuri chuckled at Heeseungs words.
"I'm serious. We can sleep right here."
The girl pondered for a moment and then located her phone, messaging Soobin and asking him to make sure that her parents don't find out that she's not home.
They lay on the sofa together, eventually Gyuri was completely laying on top of Heeseung.
And then they slept.
Gyuri and Heeseung sat at a convenience store, though they hadn't purchased anything yet.
"I wish I could turn back time. Maybe we could have been friends earlier then." Heeseung spoke.
"Really? I'm glad everything happened the way it did." Gyuri spoke. "If we became close in highschool, maybe we would've lost contact after."
Heeseung nod his head as he considered Gyuris argument.
"You're right. Everything happens for a reason."
The two sat down as they thought of what eachother had just said.
Out of nowhere, both parties decided to speak up at the same time.
"I like you!"
The two slowly turned and looked at eachother, wide grins breaking out onto their faces.
"Say that again?"
"You like me?"
"I like you."
"I like you too."
No one knows what prompted them to confess so out of the blue.
"Lee Heeseung, I like you. You have my heart." Gyuri smiled.
"Choi Gyuri, I like you. You have my soul." Heeseung whispered, intertwining their hands.
The two jerked awake, and looked into eachothers eyes suprisedly.
They both spoke at the same time.
"Did you see that too?"
"That dream, you saw it?"
Their suspicious were confirmed.
"I-I have to go." Gyuri stuttered, getting off Heeseung and collecting her bag.
"Wait-"
She was already out of the door.
At least now they knew eachothers feelings. There was no where to hide, no way to conceal how they felt.
The dreams never lied.
