Gyuri and Heeseungs head immedietly whipped over to its side, finding the source of the words spoken before

There's no way

Both of their mouths hung wide open as they sat uncomfortably, side by side on the pavement

It was the bullies.

"I told you babe, can't believe the losers stuck together after all these years." The girl spoke dumbly.

"You're right baby. I guess it's no surprise Gyuri stayed by Heeseungs side. Do you remember how we even got her to follow us back then?" The boy spoked

The girl pretended to think for a moment. "Oh, I remember!" Hee acting skills were so bad that Gyuri wanted to pull out her own hair.

"Please don't." She whispered, looking down and bunching her fists together.

"What was that? I can't hear you." The boy teased.

"Speak louder."

"I said, please don't. Just leave us alone."

"I don't know. Could you say that one more time?"

Heeseung grew mad as he watched his friend be tortured by such airheads.

"She said don't. Are you dumb? What are you guys doing, still harassing others. Grow up." His outburst momentarily shocked the bullies.

"Gyuriiiiiii. We were going to leave you alone, but you can thank Heeseung for what comes next." The girl bully twirled her hair in her finger.

"Do you remember how Gyuri liked Heeseung back in the day? Good times those were."

Gyuris blood froze, she had never in her life expected to be in this situation again.

The bullies laughed fakely at something that wasn't even funny. "It was so easy to get her to become out dumb dog. She followed us everywhere, remember?"

The bullies spoke so lowly of her as if she weren't sitting right there.

Gyuri felt like crying.

She kept looking down at her feet, feeling more pathetic than ever. What was supposed to be a fun day had taken a turn for the worst.

"All we had to do was threaten to tell Heeseung that our Gyuri had feelings for him. And BAM! She was all ours."

Heeseung's hand slowly made its way to Gyuri, holding her hand and squeezing it supportively.

"Gyuri followed us until highschool ended after that. Poor baby never got to confess her feelings."

The bullies laughed and walked away, not bothering to spare a second glance at the mess they had made.

"Gyuri?" Heeseung was the first to break the silence.

Slowly, he figured out that the girl wasn't ready to speak yet, as she was still processing the events that had taken place, numb of any emotion.

"I recorded the whole conversation. I'll hand it over to my manager and he can deal with it accordingly. Then this can all be done, for once and for all."

Gyuri stood up, not reacting to anything that  Heeseung had just told her.

She felt as if she were trapped in a glass box once again. All alone.

"I'm sorry. I have to go."

That day, Gyuri left Heeseung sitting all alone on the sidewalk.

She didn't know that her actions would only bring the duo closer.

-

It was one a.m for goodness sake. And the girl was still awake

The events that had occured earlier would not stop replaying in her mind

She turned to her side and let the tears fall into her already soaked pillow

Gosh, today's revelations were definately going to cause Gyuri and Heeseung to drift apart, weren't they?

Gyuri heard footsteps come up the stairs. It was obviously Soobin.

He didn't care to try and be quiet as he going open Gyuris door and turned the lights on.

"Come downstairs. Now. And make sure you fix up your appearence."

Mum and dad must be home then. Great. The last thing Gyuri needed was to put on a fake act and greet her parents, even though she felt more miserable than ever.

You could imagine her suprise when she came downstairs and saw Heeseung sitting at the dining table.

"Wha-"

"Sit down." Soobin instructed firmly, to which Gyuri complied.

That night, Choi Soobin felt as if a part of him was torn out visciously.

Never in a million years would he have known that his little sister was bullied back in highschool alongside Heeseung

Soobin listened to Heeseung and watched his sister, ready to embrace her at the first sign of discomfort

When Heeseung was done speaking, Soobin faced him.

"Thankyou for telling me." He told the younger boy genuinely.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Soobin faced his sister, who could not bear to look him in the eye.

"What would I say? And what would you have done anyways. It's in the past, just let it go." Gyuri spoke.

"But it's not in the past, is it? It's not if you're still being effected. If it weren't for Heeseung." Soobin paused and nod his head appreciatively at the boy. "I would probably have stayed clueless for the rest of my life."

Gyuri broke out into a sob. "I'm sorry. don't be mad." She managed to get out between gasps of air.

Soobins eyes softened as he brought himself closer to the girl. "Don't apologise." He hugged her.

Heeseung watched the siblings from his seat. What are you supposed to do when out in a situation like this? Where are you supposed to look?

"I just want you to tell me everything from now on. We're family, ok?"

Gyuri nod her head and wiped her tears as she reciprocated Soobins hug.

"Ok. I'll start by telling you that Beomgyu accidentally dropped your toothbrush in the toilet and you still use it."

Soobin regurgitated on the spot. "I-I'll be back" he ran to the bathroom. "I trust you Heeseung, don't do anything dumb."

Gyuri and Heeseung laughed at the older one and then finally looked at eachother.

"Hi." Heeseung started.

"Hi."

"I just got off work, sorry for not coming earlier. I figured you needed some space."

Gyuri looked down. "That's ok. About today, could you please forget about everything they sai-"

"Already forgotten. We started our relationship over again, remember? Nothing from our past is relevant if we don't want it to be."

Gyuri couldn't contain herself anymore, she walked to the boy drowsily and hugged him tightly.

"I'm so blessed to have you."
