"And now we're dating!" Gyuri had been video calling Soobin as he sat in the airport, waiting for his flight to start boarding.
"That's great!" He smiled genuinely. "See? You went for it. Now you get to love and be loved."
Gyuri smiled and looked up, seeing that Heeseung had returned to the park bench with a large cup of frozen yoghurt.
"Where's mine...?" The girl asked
"Right here!" He displayed the two spoons he had been holding behind his back. "Couples do things like this all the time."
"You're so cheesy, it's kinda cute" Gyuri commented as she scoot over on the bench, making space for the boy to sit down.
"You love it" Heeseung swooped down and planted a kiss on the girls forehead, before taking his place next to her.
Sitting down next to his girlfriend, Heeseung now realised that she had been on call with Soobin the entire time
"Lee Heeseung, kiss my sister again and I will personally cut off all your toes and sell them online. I have connections, don't make me prove it to you."
Gyuri giggled in her seat and Heeseung froze.
"And what was that I heard about two spoons? If you don't go and get another frozen yoghurt for my sister right now-"
"Yes sir." Heeseung scrambled, only to be pulled back by his girlfriend who was shitting tears at this point.
"Don't mind him, he's just salty he has no one."
"HEY!" Soobin yelled, only to stop mid sentence as an announcement went off in the background.
"Guess I gotta go board my flight now. Unlike you two, I actually have an interesting life so..." He teased the couple.
Before ending the call, Soobin spoke to Heeseung directly. "Treat her well, Heeseung. I trust you."
And then they were alone all again.
"Day one of dating, how do you feel miss Choi Gyuri?" Heeseung asked, feeding her a spoonful of caramel yoghurt
"I don't know...the boys so pretty, I don't know what to do." Gyuri replied after swallowing the yoghurt. It was tasty.
Heeseungs ears turned red as he looked away, hiding the small smile that had formed on his face.
"Do you think we'll stop having those dreams now?" Heeseung asked once they had finished their dessert.
"I hope not, it's weirdly comforting. Although I was kind of freaked out the first time it happened..." Gyuri revealed
Heeseung laughed and told the girl about his own experience. "After I saw the dream, I could not stop thinking about you. It's werid how you popped up in my life after so long."
"Either way, I hope the dreams guide us towards making big decisions with eachother. If that makes sense."
"Totally. Like when we should get married and all." As they sat there on the bench, the two jokingly talked about their future together and how the dreams would help them make important decisions, only half believing in what they were saying.
Gyuri and Heeseung would have never guessed that the dreams would stick around in the future, and be the reason they would eventually get married.
Eventually.
