Anna

"Anna! Hurry up!"

Kristoff's voice resounded in the distance. I turned in all directions, looking for him. I finally saw him. A little more than a hundred meters separated us. He was motionless, perched on Sven's back. They both stared at me, without any expression on their faces.

"Anna!" replied Kristoff, shouting.

There was something strange in his voice, an intonation I had never heard before. Putting my doubts aside, I began to run in his direction. The landscape defied before my eyes as I advanced. It was only then that I understood where I was. The enchanted forest, I thought. I quickly passed the trees, making my way through them. I looked up and realized that I hadn't gotten close to Kristoff. The young man was always at the same distance from me, despite my frantic race through the woods. I stopped suddenly, not understanding what was happening to me.

"Anna!"

Still this strange intonation. I took a step towards him. Then a second. I gradually accelerated the pace. The result was the same. The landscape was normally around me but the few meters separating me from Kristoff seemed frozen, as impossible to fill. A tear fell on my cheek. I felt so helpless. The young man looked at me sadly. He sighed, gently heeled Sven and walked away in the opposite direction.

"No, no, no, no," I breathed desperately.

Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath my feet. A dull crackle sounded behind me. I turned around and just had time to move away quickly, missing being crushed by a huge tree that had just fallen heavily on the ground. I was suffocating, unable to breathe normally. A terrible roar, making everything fly away around, burst over me. I looked up and saw the spirit of the earth, a stone giant looking particularly furious. He took a decisive step towards me, determined to crush me at the first opportunity. I ran as fast as I could towards Kristoff, who continued his road imperturbably, turning his back on me.

"Kristoff! Please come back!" I cried, tearing my vocal cords.

The young man did not stop, seeming to ignore me. My tears were now pouring down my cheeks. The giant was approaching dangerously, I could feel it. Each of his steps resonated in the ground and sent many vibrations under my feet, failing to make me fall. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't catch up with Kristoff. I was struggling to do it, but I couldn't. Suddenly, a huge stone crashed on the ground right in front of me. I looked over my shoulder. The spirit of the earth used projectiles. It would soon reach me, destroying me as easily as if it were a tiny insect. I fell to my knees, realizing that it was useless to run. My eyes filled with tears rested on the stone that the giant had just thrown violently. At the precise place of its impact, a small whirlwind of dead leaves formed. It grew little by little, soon becoming a huge column of air. The tornado sucked everything in its path and headed towards Kristoff and Sven.

"Kristoff! NO!"

I tried to get up. In vain. My knees seemed to have settled permanently in the ground. Suddenly melting on the one I loved, the tornado swept Kristoff and his reindeer away in its merciless swirl of cold air.

"NO!" I cried one last time before letting myself fall completely to the ground.
