Yasmine woke up and blinked her eyes slowly. She saw herself in an unfamiliar place, and when she looked around her, she was a decorated and beautiful room. How she got in here, she didn't know. She quickly stood up and wanted to head to the door when it suddenly opened and a young lady wearing a uniform carrying a plate of food came in.

"Ma'am, you're awake," She said cheerfully as she passed Yasmine and dropped the tray she was holding on a table in the room. "Good morning," She greeted Yasmine.

"Good morning," Yasmine answered her carefully. The lady seemed nice. Yasmine decided to ask her some questions.

"I'm sorry , but where am I?" She asked. .

""Peace villa," The lady answered her.

Yasmine was confused.

"Peace villa?" She repeated. "I'm sorry, is this an hotel?" She asked.

The last time Yasmine checked, she definitely didn't have money to rent a room in an expensive hotel. The room was quite exquisite.

"Noo, this is not an hotel," The lady smiled at her. "This is Peace villa. Mr Dùnn owns this Villa."

Yasmine's head rang like a bell.

"Mr Dùnn?" She half yelled. "He owns this place?"

"Yes. He lives here too."

"He lives here?!" Yasmine yelled again, startling the maid.

"Yes ma'am, he does," She answered carefully and she looked at Yasmine curiously. "Is something wrong?"

"I'm sorry, is this. . . " Yasmine said, looking around her briefly, as she talked to the lady; " his room?"

"Oh no," The maid said and smiled. "This isn't Mr Dùnn's room. His room is upstairs."

Yasmine immediately sighed in relief. She didn't know what she would do if she was told that this was his room. Then she looked at herself. She was in new clothes, a big tee-shirt and bum shorts.

"Where are my clothes?" She suddenly asked. " Who changed my clothes?"

"Oh, one of the maids did, Clara," The maid answered her. "She went to wash yours. Mr Dùnn told us to attend and take care of your every needs. " She said.

Yasmine frowned. "Since when did he care?" She muttered.

"Excuse me?" The maid said.

"No, nothing," Yasmine smiled at her. Suddenly she remembered what happened the night before and the smile on her face immediately vanished. She was in the club and was almost harassed but Erick saved her. She had held unto him and wanted to for his help for her mom when she suddenly blacked out.

Ah, that's right. Her mom!

"Oh my goodness! Mom! " Yasmine yelled and immediately ran out of the room.

"No, wait, excuse me miss!" The maid yelled and followed behind her.

Yasmine didn't answer anyone. She had to get to the hospital immediately. Her mother needed her. She had to see her mother. She couldn't pay for her mother's surgery so she might as well be by her side when she finally leaves the world for good. As she ran out of the room, she bumped into someone taller than her and she immediately took a step back and was about to fall when the person held her hand. She looked up and found out it was Erick. He was staring at her with no expression on his face. Yasmine really had no time to yell at him so she ignored him and wanted to go but as she turned and moved, she realized he was still holding onto her hand. She turned back and looked at him.

"Let me go," She said. "I have to see my mom. She's going to leave this world without seeing me first."

"She won't," Came his short reply.

Yasmine was confused. "Excuse me?" She said.

"She isn't going to die," He answered her.

"How do you know that?" Yasmine asked him.

"I went to the hospital yesterday, and I paid her bills," He said to her. "Her surgery was done yesterday evening and the doctors say she did well. So you don't have to worry. She's going to recover soon."

Yasmine didn't know what to say. Her body suddenly became limp and she dropped her hand. Erick freely let go of her hand and watched her expression. She was suddenly calm, but deep down, Erick knew she was surprised and relieved at the same time.

Yasmine closed her eyes slowly and a tear dropped from her eyes. So her mom wasn't going to die. Her mother was going to live.

She couldn't be more grateful.

She looked up and looked at Erick.

"I want to see her," She said. "Can you please take me to her? "

"I can't," He said. " I'm going out for an important meeting, so I'll have Bradley drop you off at the hospital when you're ready. Eat your breakfast and go see her later. The doctors say she's still unconscious for now. It would be a waste of time to go there now."

And with that, he left her still standing there. Yasmine watched him leave, but she couldn't say anything. She was so thankful to him. Her mother was alive because of him. Even though he was a grumpy, arrogant man, she still owed him a big appreciation. She had to give him that.

Yasmine only brushed her mouth and ate a little food before she decided to go see her mother. She didn't care if it took hours for her mom to wake up. She just wanted to be there when she did.

Bradley took her to the hospital and she dashed to her mother's ward. The woman was still sleeping. Yasmine held her mother's hands and cried a lot. She was very happy. Really happy.

Her mother was okay now.

After waiting for hours in her mom's ward, the woman finally woke up.

"Yasmine," She called slowly. Yasmine who had her head down on the bed raised her head up and looked at her mother. She smiled immediately she saw her mother's face.

"Hi mom," She said. "How are you feeling?"

Her mother nodded and smiled. Suddenly the door opened and some nurses with a doctor walked into the room. After examining her mother and they were satisfied, the doctor told Yasmine that her mother was now officially cancer free and out of danger, but she still had to remain in the hospital to fully recover and be under close observation. Yasmine was finally able to look at the room her mom was admitted in. It was beautiful, a room specially for VIPs.

"How much is her bills?" Yasmine asked. She wanted to know by herself if Erick Dùnn truly did what he said he did.

"Oh no, you don't have to worry Miss, her bills have been sorted out," The doctor said.

"By who?" She asked.

"Mr Dùnn," The man answered her, smiling. "You are free to do whatever you want ma'am, it's fine."

Yasmine smiled. "Thank you doctor."

"No worries," He said. "Please excuse me, " He said and left.

"Who is Mr Dùnn?" Her mother suddenly asked her.

"Uhh. . . I know him, mother, you don't have to worry," She said.

"Ohhh. . . Is he . . . Your boyfriend?" Her mother said teasingly.

Yasmine ; " ??? "
