Saturday morning.
Yasmine yawned slightly and woke up. She opened her eyes and suddenly she felt worried looking up at the ceiling. She realized she wasn't in her own home, and the chandelier right in the middle of the room in the ceiling made that quite clear to her.

It wasn't until she saw the masculine figure lying down on the large sofa a few feets away from the bed did she realize where she was and whose house she was in, and she sat up on the bed abruptly.

She really thought it was all a dream, that she was still at home or probably in the guest room of Erick's house, but not in his bedroom exactly.

Waking up in this familiar but unfamiliar space now made her realize that she wasn't dreaming, and everything that has happened and has been happening to her has led her here, to this man's house and now she was living with him.

She pulled the duvet over her body and gently placed her two feets on the ground. She didn't like walking barefoot, but she had to in order not to wake the man sleeping on the sofa. Then she tiptoed to the sofa and took a glance at him.

He was sleeping so soundly. Yasmine thought he might feel cold, so she went back to the bed and took the duvet and she put it in him and adjusted it so it could reach his whole figure. When she was fine, she took a step back and just stood gazing at the man who unconsciously made her feel uncomfortable, and right there and then, she realized that he wasn't as dangerous as he seemed to be. He looked so gentle, so peaceful, like a baby put to bed with a lullaby.

“He doesn't look so bad,” she thought to herself and she unconsciously smiled. Her eyes wandered away from him to the huge wall clock on the wall above the bed.

It was 8’o clock.

Yasmine decided to take a shower and she left Erick sleeping on the sofa. She went to the bathroom, she took her facial soap and rubbed them around her face and then took her toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing her teeth. Then after she was done with that, she got into the shower.

Erick groaned inwardly and woke up, squinting his eyes. Then he rubbed his eyes to make sure he was fully awake and able to see. When he was sure he was awake, he was about to stand up from the sofa when he noticed the duvet on his body.

He wondered if he slept with one the night before, and after searching through his memories, he remembered he didn't, and Yasmine was the one who slept with the duvet on the bed. Then his eyes widened.

Did she actually think of him and place the duvet on him at night?

She must have been so cold.

But nevertheless, it made a small smile appear around Erick's lips.

She thought about him. And for an unknown reason, the thought of it put him in a very good mood. He stood up from the sofa, and took his gaze to the bed. It was empty. And he instinctively checked the time. It was 15 minutes past 8.

And it made him wonder how early she woke up. He walked into the closet and peeped a little at her space, and called her name, but he got no reply.

Maybe she was downstairs. She already said she liked to cook her meals herself. Maybe she already met Rachel and was already cooking breakfast. He dressed up for a run and walked out of the room with his earplugs and phone.

Getting downstairs, the maids were already awake and working, and some bowed in greeting at him. Ignoring them, he jogged out of the mansion and was met with greetings from his corporate security guards stationed around the house.

He took a run around the estate and came back an hour later to the mansion. Then he went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and he saw Rachel in the kitchen.
