The Buckhorn Saloon was the place to be in Pinos Altos, especially after a hard week in the copper mines (and the ice cream shop, and the Opera House, and the Teddy Bear Creek cabins).
Bears would come from all over for the sarsaparilla and the pinochle, as well as for all the great characters you could meet:
In one corner you might see JB resting his head on Shirley's shoulder and telling mining stories.
In another corner Biker Raj might be asking Bingo to talk more about his home planet, Quathar.
And then you might see all-seeing Madame Zima trying to take Bonkers' money at Cutthroat Pinochle.
It was just the best place to sit and relax.... Of course, things sometimes did get a little...interesting....
