There seemed to be a water leak under the Buckhorn, because water kept bubbling up through the ground.
After doing some digging, they found it!
JB and Biker Raj both volunteered to supervise the repair project. Madame Zima came along, because she could see under the ground...but probably more just to keep the peace. Those two loved to argue!
"Dig down further!" admonished JB.
"Go under the house more!" exhorted Biker.
Madame Zima just rolled her eyes (although you couldn't see her doing it).
The leak was found, the pipe was cut and cleaned, the coupling was attached and tightened. Then, when the water was turned on, the pipe burst in another place—farther under the Buckhorn!
"Aaaaah!" The two bears cried. But Madame Zima just chuckled. She recalled the old Yiddish saying: "Mann tracht, und Gott Lacht." (Man plans, and God laughs.)
Biker and JB looked at each other.
They had found something they could actually agree on:
Wanting to yell at Madame Zima!
