The Pinos Altos Opera House, next door to the Buckhorn, was a grand venue.
Teddy Bears loved to produce and see plays there.
One day, the Teddy Bear Players sauntered over to talk to the manager about their next production, a full-length version of Hamlet, with Kabonga as the Prince of Denmark and Shirley as Ophelia.
It will also have Biker Raj as (a tough-guy) Laertes, JB as (a very grumpy) Claudius, and Clancy as (a pompous) Polonius.
"A doh-di-o doh!" chimed in Clancy.
"Yep," everyone said. "Just like Polonius."
Serge volunteered to be Gertrude, and all the Bears raved that he would be terrific, just a wonderful Queen.
"Soft you now, the fair Ophelia," Kabonga began. "Nymph, in thy orisons be all my sins remembered."
"Woooooh!" the Bears exclaimed and high-fived. "What a little devil that Kabonga is!"
A few of the Players stopped by the Opera House bar before going back to the Buckhorn.
"There's always time for sarsaparilla later," they said.
