There were more leaves to rake. This time they fell from the big mulberry trees.
Vickie recruited Shirley and Andy to the team, but the job still looked daunting. And JB was still grumbling.
"We'll let you use the leaf blower," Ralphie cajoled.
"Oh boy!" agreed JB, excitedly.
But as they got started, the wind began to blow.
Leaves, rakes and even bears flew everywhere.
And it was cold.
And the leaf blower worked...not at all!
"Mmm whaz agh mwmm blaaat!" JB exclaimed, pulling leaves out of his mouth.
Vickie gathered everyone. "This is not going to work," she said.
"Let's go in and make hot chocolate."
That perked everyone up.
Inside the Buckhorn, the team gradually got warm, and felt a lot better.
For a moment, JB thought about getting some sarsaparilla. Then he sighed. "Sometimes, it's just," he paused, "...cocoa."
