"Tum, ta tum tum-tum-tum-tum." Randy was out playing with clouds and singing to himself.
"I think I'll go visit Serge and Clancy—I haven't seen them for a while," he thought.
Serge looked resplendent in his stripes and beads. Clancy wore his doo-rag and was soft and cuddly. "Ah doh-di-oh doh!" he greeted Randy.
The conversation soon turned to problems of being big. "I always bump my head because doors are too short," complained Serge.
"I always hit my legs on short tables," said Randy.
"Ah-doh-di-oh doh!" exclaimed Clancy. "Yes!" agreed Serge. I have to sleep diagonally on short beds, too!"
They soon had a list: "We have to slouch to talk to short Bears!" "Clothes don't fit!" "They make you carry all the heavy stuff!"
And then it got even better:
--"Bigger noses mean louder snores!"
--"They think we're good at basketball!" --and...
--"The rain hits us first!""Ah-doh-di-oh doh!" Clancy agreed to everything and then went to sleep.
Vicki and Bingo ambled by. They smirked and rolled their eyes.
"Oh, please..." they said. "By the way," they added, "we like being big."
The three friends looked at each other and laughed.
They did, too.
