Raina walked down the hall slowly, her hand held onto both of Wyrion's as Jace stood with his arms open, beckoning Wyrion to come to him with a big smile on his face.
"Come on, Wyrion!" Jace said, moving his hand and waving him over.
"Jace, he's still too little," Raina said. Wyrion could crawl anywhere, but walking? He's not there yet.
"No, no, he was doing it with me and Luke!" Jaca exclaimed. Raina had practically walked Wyrion down to her older brother. "Yay! You did it!" Jaca said, picking him up and Wyrion giggled.
"So... umm... how are you doing?" Jace asked, looking over at her. She nodded, giving him a smile.
"I wanted to ask what you were thinking about all this," Raina asked, looking at him.
"I hate it, Raina," Jaca said. Raina looked up at him, concern filling her eyes. "No, not like that. I mean, I love Wyrino and I love you no matter what. It's just... you shouldn't have to be doing this. You shouldn't have been married so young and had to have children at this age," he explained. Raina understood where he was coming from. It was indeed very young to start a family, but she had faced tough circumstances in life, and she knew she probably wasn't the only one.
"I know, but things had to happen this way," Raina said softly. They didn't know what had happened between her and Ageon. She would eventually have to reveal the truth, but it wasn't the right time. However, with Wyrion looking more like Ageon every day, she knew questions would arise.
"What do you mean?" Jaca asked, his voice filled with curiosity. Raina shook her head.
"And what do you think of Daemen and me?" she asked hesitantly. There was a long silence before he spoke.
"It's... weird to think that after everything that happened between you two, it would turn out like this," Jaca said, his gaze fixed on Wyrion, who was now nearly asleep in his arms. "With everything that has happened since... Gods, the day you were born, Raina. If you have found happiness in him, then I'm happy for you."
"And Luke?" Raina asked, looking down as they walked.
"I think he feels the same, he just doesn't know how to deal with it," Jace replied. Raina nodded, understanding the complexity of the situation. "But a good thing has come out of this awkward situation," he continued.
"And what is that?" Raina asked, curious.
"You're here with us, where you should have been this whole time," Jace said, a soft smile forming on his face. Raina returned the smile, grateful for the support and acceptance of her brother.
Raina and Jace both looked over to see Daemon approaching them.
"I'm going to go... put him in his room," Jace said, excusing himself and walking away. Raina turned to Daemon, her expression filled with concern.
"My brother is not happy," Daemon said, handing her a letter. "He even mentioned finding someone else for you... It hurts, my dear. It hurts to think that my own brother doesn't believe I'm good enough for you," he feigned a hurt expression on his face, trying to lighten the mood. Raina couldn't help but roll her eyes, seeing through his act.
"I will write to him and tell him that you make me very happy," Raina reassured Daemon, taking another letter out of his hand. She noticed that it had her name on it, but the sender's name wasn't mentioned.
"Well, that makes me feel great, knowing that little old me can make Raina Thunderborn of House Velaryon and Targaryen, the heir to Drift mark, the Velaryon Storm, the Commander of Dragons, the Unburnt Heir, the Iron Flame, and the conquer of Lands, very happy," Daemon replied playfully. Raina looked at him with a raised eyebrow, puzzled by the titles she had never heard before.
"Why are you calling me that?" Raina asked, her tone tinged with curiosity and annoyance.
"Those names are what the people call you," Daemon explained with a playful grin. Raina huffed, feeling aggravated.
"Well, the only thing you're making me right now is aggravated," Raina retorted, not in the mood to deal with all of this at the moment. She didn't want to deal with any of it right now.
"I see that, with that little dragon inside you, you're always like that. Maybe we should-" Daemon began, but Raina quickly cut him off.
"Stop," Raina said firmly. "You have three children, Daemon. You should know better than to provoke a pregnant woman." She glanced at him, her expression serious.
"He should know better," Rhaenyra chimed in, joining them. Raina nodded in agreement, Daemon looked between the two of them, realizing the gravity of the situation. Two wife's twice the problems
"And you best start learning how to handle it better and fast because now you have two pregnant women to deal with," Rhaenyra continued, her tone firm. Raina couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the predicament.
"Best of luck to you, husband," Raina said, her voice laced with both amusement and a touch of mischief. "Oh, and make sure to write to your brother and tell him I'm feeling unwell and unable to travel," she added, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
"He's not happy?" Rhaenyra asked, concerned. Raina shook her head, handing her the letter. Rhaenyra read it quickly, her expression changing.
"Well, we will be off then. We have lady things to attend to," Raina said, her tone indicating that their departure was intentional. The two walked away, leaving Daemon behind.
"I don't like it when you two do that!" Daemon called after them, his frustration evident. However, Raina and Rhaenyra ignored him and continued walking, not giving in to his protest.
