"Dear King Aegon,There is something you need to know before your meeting with the princess. It has been confirmed by Princess Raina herself that she is with child."
The man quickly wrote on the paper, his eyes shifting nervously to the door and then back down at the paper. He moved swiftly, tying the letter to the bird and releasing it out the window when the door opened.
"What are you doing?" Raina asked as she eyed the man. He was a knight of her mother's, but she didn't know much about the man. "What are you doing in here?" she asked. The man shook his head.
"My... my wife lives in King's Landing," he lied as he looked down. Raina kept her eye on him for a moment before nodding.
"Go," Raina said, eyeing him as he walked out. When he was gone, she turned to Ser Alden and Ser Roderick. "Do you know that man?" she asked. They shook their heads.
"Alright," Raina said, walking and sitting. "We have a meeting with Aegon, but only one of you will go with me," she said, making them both look at her.
"One of you will be going to gather our men from the house. It should be around 900 to 1000," Raina said. "We are lacking allies and need men, and this will help. We can only hope that the 6000 men my father has acquired across the sea will arrive soon," she said.
"I will go," Ser Roderick said. Raina nodded as she looked at him.
"It is a long journey, and I don't feel as if you will be back for the next battle," Raina said. "But we need the men, so try to make it quick," she said.
"Yes, Raina," Ser Roderick nodded as he stood up.
"And if anyone bearing my ring refuses my call, you beat them down and bring them to me alive," Raina said, looking out the window. "I promise that anyone who betrays me, dragon fire will be their fate, and I intend to keep that promise. Make sure you tell them that if they refuse the call, it is betrayal," she said.
"I will go now," Ser Roderick said. "You be safe at your meeting, Raina," he said. She nodded.
"And you as well," Raina said to him as he walked out. She then turned to Ser Alden. "Are you ready?" she asked.
"Always," Ser Alden said. Raina gave him a smile as they walked out together to join the others.
"Raina," Daemon said as she stopped next to him.
"We don't have much time until my talk with Aegon," Raina said. Daemon had been uneasy with her, though she couldn't blame him.
"I really wish you would let someone else go," Daemon said, looking down at her.
"They have asked to talk with me, Daemon," Raina said. Daemon huffed. "I have been thinking, though," she said, looking up at him.
"About?" he asked.
"The battle. I have decided that until I have our child, I will ride on dragonback only and try to keep a safe distance away from the fight," Raina said.
"Well, that's better than you on the battlefield," Daemon said, looking away from her. "Though I would like you to not go at all," he said.
"Being on dragonback will be the safest place for me. I have three dragons guarding me," Raina said. "I only fly my dragons in if needed. Therefore, you get what you want, and I still get to be with my knights and soldiers that are fighting," she said.
"Alright," Daemon said, looking back at her. "You only fly in if absolutely needed, Raina. Other than that, stay back," he said. Raina nodded.
"We will be off then," Raina said as she and Ser Alden walked to her dragons. Raina pulled herself onto the back of the Cannibal as Ser Alden saddled behind her.
