"Konbanwa, Okasan," Sayaka tiredly greeted her mother.
"You're early," her mother noticed. She's cooking dinner in the kitchen. "There's no meeting with the Student Council today?"
"I'm skipping dinner, Okasan. I'm tired," she replied while taking her shoes off. She does not want to talk about anything related to the Student Council today after what happened earlier.
"Just don't be so hard on yourself, okay?" her mother told her. "Also, something arrived in our mail today. The mailman told me it's for you, from the United States."
"M-Mail?! F-from t-the U-US?!" Sayaka stopped walking upstairs when she heard that.
"Yes and care to tell me why it is from the US?"
"It's for props!" Sayaka lied while running outside with her socks on. "For the role play!"
Her face brightens as soon as she gets her package from the mail.
"You really are putting too much effort into that role play. I hope your efforts don't go to waste," Sayaka's mother said as her daughter enter their house hugging her package.
"I hope so too! Arigatou, Okasan!" Sayaka thanked her mother and ran upstairs.
She immediately locks the door of her bedroom and sits on her study chair. She carefully opens the package and scatter its contents on the desk in front of her.
Like what she is expecting, the package consists of different burnt letters that supposedly belong to Tamara. However, the sender includes an envelope full of pictures too with a note inside it. She reads the note silently.
'Since you're a great partner to do business with, I've included pictures from the CCTV footage from the day the murder happened. Spoiler alert, there's a third person behind the murders. But that bitch is still the mastermind.
P.S. I lied to the cops about this. You better keep these things to yourself and don't tell anyone or I'll drag you down with me.
- Mrs. J'
"That lady's crazy," Sayaka muttered and shook her head. She then proceed to look at the pictures she sent her.
The first picture shows a man that looks like its waiting for someone. The next one shows that the man is talking to someone that the CCTV cant see in the dark alleyway near the apartment. The final picture shows the unseen figure giving a paper bag to the man.
"She can't be serious! T-this is... This is a piece of real evidence!" Sayaka blurted.
The Student Council Secretary puts down the pictures to read the burnt letters. She can't help herself to put her hand to her mouth and felt a strong feeling of guilt after reading the letters.
"How could you be this idiot, Sayaka?" she asked herself as she runs her hands through her hair.
'She's innocent. I can't believe that I chose to believe a crazy bitter landlady's story than actual facts!' she said inside her mind.
She returned the papers inside the envelope and sighed. She clenches her right fist and looks at the envelope with full of determination in her eyes.
"I'll do the right thing!" she said. "And that is to give this back and apologize."
She gets a pen and a piece of paper and starts writing an apology letter.

"You don't want to do background research on Tammy Edwards anymore?"
"Y-Yes, Kaichou."
