Chapter 35: Punish me, Kaichou!

"So, would the two of you like to share your secrets on how you beat the game?"

"I just basically followed the moon and everything is just luck."

"The questions are so easy. I had no problem answering it."

"You really are a skilled gambler, Murasame-san! I'm happy that you find your way to gamble again! Let's gamble sometime!"

Sayaka was greeted by the Student Council President and the two players that got to the fifth floor before her as soon as she arrived.

"Sayaka, that was quick of you," the President praised her. "Did you get all the questions right?"

She remembers what happened on the ground floor earlier and kneeled in front of the President.

"I cheated!" she confessed. "I-I used Edwards-san's turn to get here!"

"Punish me, Kaichou!"

"Well, Did I mention something about punishing cheaters earlier?"

"No."

"Then you have nothing to worry about," the President reassured her. "Congratulations, Sayaka. You win the game. I'm impressed."

Sayaka doesn't know how to feel about winning the game. She barely got the third place if it wasn't for Tamara giving her turn to her.

"Now, let us all wait for the loser to get here and meet her demise."

Everyone went silent as they wait for the last person to enter the floor they were in. Soon, a figure of a girl emerges from the central door. It's Tamara. Blood trails coming from her hands were left on the floor with every step she made. It almost looks as if she just get away from murdering someone. The truth is, she did. She 'murdered' every door and trapdoor she interacted with.

"Well? I think we've reached the end of the journey!" the Student Council President announced. "It's time to announce the results!"

"Amane Murasame arrived first, followed by Yumeko Jabami, and finally, Sayaka Igarashi. All of you have officially won the tower of doors!" the Student Council President slowly claps her hands to the winners. "Congratulations! All of you!"

"Now that we're done with the winners, let's talk about the other player," she smirked at Tamara who has a lowered head. "Tammy Edwards, you lost."

"How funny. I used to think that you'll easily win this gamble after beating my Student Council but here you are, finishing last," she chuckled. "You really are unpredictable. In a very disappointing way."

"No wonder the Totobami banished you," she added. "You're a loser."

"Tammy-san..."

"You may now pick any door that you want."

Tamara's opponents eyed her pitifully as she picks a door and opens it. She tried so hard just to win the game but in the end, it was not enough. All of her efforts to defeat the Student Council President had gone in vain.

"Pfft."

Her opponents' eyes turned from pitiful into a surprised one when they heard her chuckle. From a chuckle, it turns into a giggle, then a laugh that echoes across the whole room.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tamara laughed like a lunatic who finally loses her mind.

"Hey, Chair sniffer," she called the Student Council Secretary. "Did you tell her what I told you to tell her?" she asked and points at the Student Council President.
