Los Angeles Medical Center, 5 years ago...
"How is she?"
A light-skinned woman entered the hospital room where a young Tamara was admitted in. She has short blonde hair and wears round glasses with a circle bridge.
"Oba-sama!" A young girl blurted from her bed and bowed to show respect to the woman who just came in.
(A/N: Oba-sama means aunt or a middle-aged woman in Japanese)
"She is fine now but the doctors said that she needs to stay for a couple of days so they can monitor her," the woman's personal assistant reported.
"I see," the woman responded and sit on the bed beside the young girl. "May I know what my savior's name is?"
"I-It's Tamara, Oba-sama," the young girl replied.
"What a beautiful name," the woman complimented her. "But I don't understand why a pretty young woman with a beautiful name lives in the streets of Los Angeles."
The young girl lowered her head and puts her index fingers together. The woman notices this so she looks at her personal assistant.
"Her story is a bit complicated," the personal assistant stated. "She was from a wealthy family in Japan but got banished after an incident happened during the New Year's Eve celebration of their clan. They admitted her to an All-Girls boarding school here in Los Angeles before she escape there two weeks ago."
"Is there anywhere you can go once you had to leave the hospital?" the woman asked her. "Any relatives living in the US?"
"I-I..." the young girl starts to cry. "I don't have anywhere to go, Oba-sama."
"My biological father died from serving the country while my biological mother died from saving my adoptive father. My adoptive family doesn't want me anymore. I'm all alone and I have nowhere to go..."
The woman hugs the crying young girl and comforts her. "You're a good kid. You don't deserve what happened to you," she said and gently caressed the young girl's back.
"Sarah?"
"Yes, Madam?"
"Tell our maids in New York to clean Chris' room and prepare a welcoming party. Someone will be occupying the room once we came back there from L.A."
"Does that mean..."
"Yes, and invite your kids too."
"Will do, Madam!" she said and immediately took out her phone to make a call.
The woman holds the young girl on both of her shoulders and happily looks at her. "From now on, you will be living with me in New York."
The young girl's eyes lighten up after hearing that.
"You'll get a fully air-conditioned room, brand new clothes, and you can eat all the delicious foods that you want."
"Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, Oba-sama!" the young girl thanked the woman and hugged her so tightly. She soon started crying again but this time, it is because of pure joy. "I do not know how I could thank you enough for the kindness you have shown me, Oba-sama!"
"You saved me from those thugs even though I'm a mere stranger to you," the woman told her and patted the young girl's back. "Because of that, you deserved all the best in this world."
"Oh, and before I forgot, Madam V is fine."
"Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, Madam V!" the young girl expressed her gratitude with full of sincerity. "You won't regret adopting me, Madam V! I promise! I will make you proud at all costs!"
