Chapter 17: It!

"You just bought almost everything from that newly opened café, we deserved an explanation," Mary told Tamara while carrying a bunch of paper bags that contains different kinds of pastries they bought from the café.

"We bought every pastry from the newly-opened café and give it to those who are less fortunate than us. Isn't that a win-win situation?" Tamara cheerfully replied. A few moments later, she stops walking in front of a large gate.

"Green Meadows Orphanage?" Itsuki read the sign above the gate.

"This is where you spend that 500 million yen from the Debt Swap Game?" Mary questioned.

"Actually it's three orphanages and two charities. 100 million for each organization. We are only visiting the Green Meadows Orphanage since it's the closest one."

Tamara presses the doorbell with her elbow since her arms are full of paper bags. All six of them are carrying paper bags containing baked goods and caffeine-free drinks. A few moments later, a group of kids emerged from inside the gate.

"Ayo! It's me!" she shouted and tried to wave her hand.

"It's Tammy nee-san!"

"And she brings along some friends!"

"They bring some food too!"

"Let's call Mama quick!"

Some of the kids go back inside the building while the rest welcomed their nee-san and her friends. They help them unload the paper bags and bring them inside.

"Tammy nee-san! I missed you!" a little girl with a casted arm yelled as she hugged Tamara's leg.

"I missed you too, Kazumi," she told the girl and kneeled in order to hug her back. "How's your right arm?"

"It's doing fine, Tammy nee-san. Look! I can move my fingers now!" Kazumi beamed. She raised her casted arm and move her fingers. "Mama says I can play tag now!"

"That's awesome! We should play tag later!"

"Tammy Nee-san!" Another group of kids approached them. "Who are they?" They pointed Tamara's friends behind her. She stands up and looks at her friends.

"These are my friends," she answered.

"Yumeko."

"Hello! It is nice meeting you all!"

"Ryota."

"H-Hi..."

"Nanami."

"K-konnichiwa."

"Itsuki."

"Hiya! How are you?"

"And Pikachu," Tamara mentioned the blonde-haired girl and gave her a 'be-nice' look.

"It's Mary."

"She's Pikachu?!" a kid commented.

"The one in the-" Before the other kid can finish what he is about to say, Tamara gestured for him to be silent. This makes the kid jump up and down out of excitement.

"You know what? Why don't you kids show Pikachu nee-san here a good time?" Tamara told the kids and winked.

"N-no, I'm fine-"

"We would love to!"

The kids start to drag Mary inside the orphanage despite her protest. She angrily turned around just to find Tamara smiling devilishly at her.
