¤ (Y/n)'s Point Of View ¤
It felt like a dream, seeing Yuuji right there infront of me. Everything felt like it was going in slow motion, watching him like a hawk as he slipped on his shirt. I was worried that if I took my eyes off him for a second, that he'd dissappear and I'd realise that he was dead all along. But this mark on my wrist confirmed reality. This wasn't a dream.
Gojo left with Ieiri a few minutes ago, opting to go on a small walk to talk abiut what just happened. He'd probably ask her for a reasonable explanation on what just happened. But there wasn't one, not without having seen Sukuna and I make that deal. They'd wonder for a while, suspecting reasons and causes while I was forced to avert my gaze and keep quiet on the matter- pretending to be just as much in the dark as they were.
Kiyotaka was tasked to stay behind, to watch after us both as if we needed a babysitter. But the man was barely one at that, confined to the back corner of the room as he stared at Yuuji with shock and bafflement. The man looked as if Yuuji were a ghost or some sort of supernatural occurance. Yuuji didn't notice, too busy getting changed into a fresh pair of joggers so that he wasn't bare anymore.
I sat at the edge of the metallic counter that Yuuji was once laying on, my left wrist shoved into my pocket to hide my mark. My other hand absent-mindedly scratched into the back of my arm, my nerves and anxiety getting too hard to bare for much longer. Even though I couldn't see him, I knew Sukuna was watching. It was weird how this mark made me feel more connected to him. I could feel his gaze without him needing to open his eyes.
Yuuji began grinning to himself infront of me as he buckled his belt, confusing me as I tilted my hesd slightly.
"What's so funny?" I asked him softly, making him chuckle and look at me with a cheeky grin and glowing eyes.
"Nothing, they're just gonna be so shocked when they see I'm alive." Yuuji chuckles softly, making me nod with a soft smile.
"They definitely will, Yuu." I agreed, making him giggle as he put on his shoes. He seemed more excited the longer he thought about it. As Kiyotaka was distracted watching Yuuji tie his laces, I reached over for a small bunch on bandges on the table by the counter. I discreetly wrapped it around my wrist, hiding Sukuna's mark so that I would be able to move freely again.
When I was done, I was releived to see Yuuji making fun of Kiyotaka's reluctance to go near him, teasing him as he pretended to be a ghost. I smiled as I watched him, before a certain red eyes crossed my mind and that smile almost instantly faded away.
"Yuuji..." I then mumbled, making his pause his interactions with Kiyotaka and turn to face me instantly with am enthusiastic hum.
"...Did Sukuna say anything to you before you 'woke up'?" I asked him hesitantly, starting to worry that Sukuna may have told him that I made a pact with him. Sukuna loved to drive me crazy, and hinting to Yuuji about the wierd connection between the two of us must certainly be at the top of that list.
"Actually, yeah now that I think about it!" Yuuji realised, putting his hand over his chin in thought.
My eyes widned as I leaned closer, my heart beat accelerating as I waited.
"But...I can't remember any of it." Yuuji replied sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck with a guilty chuckle. I sighed in relief, my eyes fluttering closed briefly after a small exhale.
"Ah, I see." I replied, trying not to let my nervousness or relief show. But that was impossible, Yuuji knows me like the back of his hand.
"Is something wrong, (Y/n)?" Yuuji then asked me worriedly, walking closer to me with furrowed brows. I smiled and shook my head in denial as he rested each of his hands on my thighs while staring at me with a fond expression.
"No, nothing." I denied with a tight smile, avoiding eye-contact so that he wouldn't notice something was wrong. Before he could speak up again, my phone buzzed in my pocket and captured everyone's attention.
