¤ (Y/n)'s Point Of View ¤

Once Sukuna's cursed energy had worn off from me and the wisps of his flames had disspeared into the air around me, I forced myself to begin my search for Megumi. It was hard to focus on sensing his location when the warmth of Sukuna's power was still on my mind- the way those flickers of fire slithered against my skin. It was addicting, to feel such comfort and power and the same time.

The feeling took a few moments to fade enough to the point where I was able to force my mind on other things. I felt Megumi's cursed energy towards my right, towards the training grounds. I felt that he was alone, but Nobara was also in jujutsu tech at this moment- possibly in the dorms. It gave me comfort to know that Megumi was alone. If he wasn't, I'd probably give myself the pardon to come back another day.

I set off to the training grounds at the back of jujutsu tech, nobody but him was outdoors. My heart beat nervously as I neared closer to him, my mind spinning because I honestly still didn't know what to say. I probabaly should have prepared my apology before rushing to get here so soon.

I stood still the moment I laid eyes on Megumi, my feet refusing to go any further. He was throwing kunai at targets, missing the centre by a few inches. Megumi had never been great at fighting with weapons, especially from long range. The boy relied too much on his jujutsu and neglected to train his hand-eye co-ordination. I stood there and watched him silently, trying to muster up the courage to walk up to him.

His back was turned towards me, still completely unaware that I was behind him. I pursed my lips and sighed nervously, my eyes flickering around the training ground as I fought myself on deciding my next move. Only then did I notice that his phone was infront of me, laying shattered on the floor. I gulped in realisation. He must have thrown it with frustration when I declined his call. Come to think of it, my phone was still switched off.

Suddenly, I felt the sudden urge to take off and run- to be a croward and do anything but face Megumi. Especially now, knowing that he had just crossed the line of frustrated to furious- evident in the state of his phone screen. The moment the thought of leaving crossed my mind, my wrist began burning. I hissed silently in pain, gripping the mark with my other hand and cradling it to ny chest. Sukuna was warning me against it. But why would he care if I ran from Megumi or not?

The pain faded away within a few moments once I convinced myself not to turn back now, confirming that Sukuna for some reason needed me to make up with Megumi. He had motives, some of which he refused to tell me about and I'm sure this was one of them. I sighed as I mustered up the last of my courage, taking a step forward.
"Megumi." I called out softly, with a hint of confidence that was feigned.

I watched nervously as he freezed in place, his form rigid as he stared forward. Megumi didn't even attempt to look back to face me, standing completely and utterly still. Then the noirette chuckled bitterly, sending cold and painful shivers down my spine.
"If I turn around, are you going to just run away again?" He asked lowly, his tone of voice full of venom.

"I'm hoping not..." I admitted weakly, taking a few steps forward untill i was only a few metres away from him. The boy turned to face me once he realised that I wasn't going to flee. But the look in his eyes told me that he was no where near ready to talk calmly. He seemed too furious, his glare spoke volumes.
"So..." My friend began bitterly.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself?" He asked with dark eyes. I stayed silent, looking down at my feet with shame. Do I have anything to say for myself?

"Really? Nothing?" Megumi chuckled sourly, his eyes unforgiving and stoic.
"Anything that could explain what the fuck has been going on with you?" Megumi spat harshly, his fury increasing by each second that I stayed silent. Megumi took a step closer to me, pure anger evident in his sharp features.
"You lost Yuuji, (Y/n)- and I know how much pain you must be in..." Megumi began passionately.
