"Grandpa, are you awake?" (Y/n) asked softly as she slowly and quietly walked into Itadori Wasuke's hospital room, her boyfriend Yuuji's grandfather. She always tended to visit him in hospital every other day, after she had finished her missions and training. Wasuke allowed her to call him grandpa instead of sir little over a year ago, a sign that he indeed did approve of her as his grandson Yuuji's girlfriend.

It was just before sunset when she managed to find time to visit him today, the nurses warning her that Wasuke was asleep the last time they checked up on him. She was abit tired from training with Nanami today so she didn't mind that he may be asleep, maybe a quick check up was what she needed. He could be abit hard to handle at times with how stubborn he was, after all.

"Now I am." The old man grumbled from his position on his hospital bed, giving a light glare to the girl who now walked in with more confidence knowing he wasn't asleep. She had a sheepish smile on her face as she scratched the back of her neck in shame for waking him up, despite the fact she tried to be quiet.
"Sorry." She breathlessly laughed, pulling out a stool from under the monitor so that she could sit next to him.

"I brought you some lunch?" The girl offered hesitantly with an unsure smile, hoping this peace offering would be enough to makeup for disrupting his sleep. (Y/n) then pulled out a container of yakitori sticks, the same ones from a small buisness in Tokyo centre that Wasuke loved. An Itadori could never turn away food- it was impossible.
"You're forgiven." Wasuke grumbled, taking the boxed lunch out of the girl's hands and placing it on his lap.

(Y/n) giggled before helping him open the lid and handed him some disposable chopticks before sitting back in her seat with a soft comfortable smile.
"How are you feeling today?" The girl then asked him, her eyes flickering to his monitor which seemed to look the same as it did every day she visited him. She wondered it even worked at all.

"Old, tired and cranky." The man muttered with a sigh before taking a bite of his chicken. His eyes closed for a moment, taking a second to appreciate the taste of his favourite food.
"So like any other day then?" (Y/n) grinned teasingly, tilting her head playfully which made the old man scoff at how comfortable she became with him over the past two years.

"Has Yuuji come to visit you today yet?" She then asked him, remembering her boyfriend tell her this morning that he planned to stop by after his club meeting. She couldn't remember if the meeting was for the track and field team or the occult club, knowing him, she had a feeling it was for the latter.
"No and I hope he dosen't." The old man told her with no remose, his words coming out of love even though they sounded so cold.

"Yuuji cares for you. It's only natural he'd want to check up on you every once in a while." (Y/n) told him pointedly, her eyes then flickering to her phone when the screen flashed bright. She noticed that Megumi messaged her, a message she'd reply to later when she leaves.
"Well, I'm sure he's got better things to do other than bickering with an old geezer in his death bed- you too." Wasuke complained, pointing at her with his chopstick as he scolded her.

"You shouldn't visit me so often, child. I'm afraid the nurses might get the wrong idea." He continued with a deep chuckle, making (Y/n) laugh aswell at the shameless comment.
"Don't worry about that. They all know that I'm dating your grandson." She assured with an amused nod, failing to mention how embarrassing it was for her the day they found out- or rather how they found out. She'll never make-out with him in a hospital again.

"Still, I'm sure that you must have exams you should be studying for. Private schools tend to be strict, don't they?" Wasuke promted, him always having loved to start conversations on the girl's schooling. He had always had a fascination with private schools, thinking they were the best of the best. But actually, private schools were just really expensive for no reason at all. (Y/n) failed to mention the fact that her private school was not only free but also a school of jujutsu.
