¤ (Y/n)'s Point Of View ¤
After a few more tries at hand to hand combat, Yuuji and I collapsed side by side on the grass. We were both out of breath at this point, heaving and panting while staring up at the blue sky. It had just turned afternoon around an hour ago, us having been out here for almost four hours. I wondered what Nanami had accomplished in this time. Has he finished with his meeting with Kiyotaka? Has he found and spoken with Gojo yet? I guess I'll find out later tonight.
"Even Gojo didn't work me this hard." Yuuji laughed out tiredly, making me chuckle too. Gojo's teaching methods were known to be notorious...easy. The lesson was whatever he was in the mood for, sometimes that meant ramen.
"Nanami worked me twice as hard." I told Yuuji, remembering the times I would be out on this feild as a child. I would be more bloodied up with curses peaking out from behind trees that wanted to get involved with the lesson. I'd always have to shoo them away before Nanami noticed.
"Did Gojo only become your teacher recently?" Yuuji then asked me, making me nod. Even then, I wouldn't really call Gojo a teacher- more like a mission supervisor. I'm sure he would let that title get to his egotistical head too.
"Yep, Nanami was my teacher from day 1 untill last year when I was finally moved into my first year at jujutsu tech. Nanami was the person who had to teach me everything from reading and writing down to my clan's cursed technique." I explained, Yuuji turning on his side as his interest got piqued.
"Woah. Wasn't it hard to teach you something that he didn't know how to use?" Yuuji asked, talking about my cursed technique now. This was something that I haf actually thought about before, how Nanami so easily managed to teach something to me that was more so conceptual to him.
"Probabaly. I'm not really sure how he managed it all, but I know he had to get the higher ups approval before he could request information about my cursed technique in order to teach me it." I told him, something that Gojo once told me.
"There are probably hundereds of more techniques that haven't been approved." I told him, hinting that there was more to my power. Of course, these other techniques are all things I've already mastered independently. But it couldn't hurt to let Yuuji know that there was more to me than what he saw now.
"Dosen't that bother you? Them keeping your birth right away from you?" Yuuji mumbled sadly, slightly suprising me. It seems that Yuuji was finally understanding why the higherups are so infamous.
"I'll get it all back one day. I'm sure." I told him confidently, making him grin.
"That's my girl." Yuuji cheered, making me blush. Though at the back of my mind, there was a voice that reminded me that I wasn't just Yuuji's girl anymore- I was Sukuna's girl too now. My stray thoughts were interrupted by my phone's ringing, making me fish it out of my pocket. Maybe it was Nanami to tell me that he finally found Gojo. I looked at the caller ID with hope, only for the rest of me to freeze in place. It was Megumi.
I cleared my throat nervously and quickly turned off my ringer, shoving my phone back into my pocket. Megumi hadn't given up on calling me since our last meeting- if anything, it only made him call me more incessantly. Sometimes I caught myself wishing that I could answer and tell him all about my day. But I couldn't. Because I fucked everything up and I didn't know how to fix it.
"Who was it?" Yuuji asked curiously, probably having seen me avoid my phone for the past two days. He hasn't questioned it until now. But how do I tell him in way that makes it seem less my fault? There's no way, was the answer.
"Babe?" Yuuji added, his brows furrowing with concern.
"It's Megumi...I've been ghosting him since the day you 'died'." I admitted to Yuuji, turning on my side to face him also.
At this new piece of information, Yuuji's brows furrowed and stared at me with suprise, now more curious.
"What? Why?" He asked, a tone in his voice suggesting that he's dissapointed.
"It's just that..." I struggled to continue, the truth sounding much harder to say out loud- especially knowing that I'm the one being stupid and stubborn.
"I've known Megumi since I was five. He was being taken care of by Gojo and I was being taken care of by Nanami. We were both in similar situations but different in our own way." I began softly, begining to sit up so that I could speak more confidently.
