~ Allison ~
After I had left the rink, I went home to go pick Lucy up and take her to the game she has at 1 pm. I texted her to let her know that I was waiting for her in the driveway. She texted me back with an okay be out in a minute. I shot back an okay text and then replied to Leah's text she sent me while I was driving.
While I was sitting there in the car still waiting for Lucy, I looked at the puck that Austin had given me a couple of nights ago. I picked it up off the dashboard and decided to put his number into my contacts before debating with myself if I should text him or not. After a few seconds, I made the decision to give it a shot and text him.
Found this number on the autographed hockey puck that was given to me at a Marlies game the other night. Is this Austin White? The guy who gave me the puck and then helped me pick up the ones I dropped this morning?
I hit send just as the passenger's door opens and Lucy hops in. "About time you're ready! I was about to send a search party inside to find you!" I joked as she closes the door and puts her belt on. "Sorry, I couldn't find my skates and it's kind of hard to play hockey without the key piece of equipment you know." She replies as I back out of the driveway.
"Don't you have a game today too?" Luce asks as I'm turning onto the main road. "Yeah at 8 pm why?" I ask. "Just wondering." She replies. "Mom and dad should be back for both our games tonight. Jack played at 12 pm this afternoon in Peterborough." I reply "You play at 7:30 pm tonight?" I ask as Luce nods. "Yeah at Ice Sports. Chloe's giving me a ride there and mom said she'd come to my game and dad's gonna go to yours." She replies.

"Good luck Luce! Kick ass out there!" I say to my sister as she takes her bag and sticks out from the back of my car. "Thanks Ally, I'll see you after the game!" She replies before shutting the door and heading into the rink. I drive away from the arena entrance to go search for a parking spot.
Once I find a spot, I pull into the empty space making sure I'm parked in between the lines. After I put the car in park, I turn the car off and check my phone for any messages before getting out to go into the arena. That's when I notice a message from Austin.
I don't know, it depends on who's asking. Is this Ally? The girl who helps the tiny Timbit players become hockey stars of the future?
The text read as a small smile creeps onto my lips.
Yes, it is! I reply before closing my phone and getting out of the car to make my way inside to cheer on my little sister and her teammates in their third game of the tournament.
When I get inside, I read the board and search for the ice pad Lucy is playing on. "Pad 2." I say to myself as I take a left turn in the direction of the ice pad. Just as I reach the door to pad 2, my phone buzzes in my pocket. I quickly open the door before taking my phone from my pocket to see who it was.
Well then in that case, yes it is me. It's Austin! I read before texting him back.
