Chapter 29

"Ally." Austin says leaning his forehead against my own as we try to catch our breath. I look at him as my heart skips a beat and my cheeks flush red while the butterflies in my stomach flutter like crazy. "I want you." He says nervously as his face goes red. "Yeah?" I reply but it comes out more as a question. "Yeah." Austin replies as I take a second before nodding my head. A smile creeps up onto his face before we're back to making out and seconds later, my hands travel down to the hem of his shirt as his own go to mine before both our shirts come off.

** Next Morning **

I woke up at 11:30 this morning wrapped up in Austin's arms as we both lay in my bed tangled up in the sheets. I lay there looking at Austin wondering how I got so lucky to have found such a loving guy like him. "Well, good morning gorgeous." He says in a raspy morning voice. "Morning handsome." I reply as he leans in and I kiss him. We stay silent for a minute as he runs his fingers up and down my arm. "Last night was amazing." He whispers staring into my eyes. I smile and reply. "It was, wasn't it?" I lay my head on his chest, listening to his gentle heartbeat as I begin to trace circles on his bare chest of abs.

We lay in bed for a little longer before getting up and getting ready for the afternoon. Austin had a team meeting to attend and I had an afternoon optional practice I wanted to go to before tonight's game. "I'll drop you off at your practice and come back after my team meeting is over." He says as I pack my gear into the bed of his truck. "Yeah, sounds good." I reply lifting the tailgate and making my way to the passenger's side before hopping into the truck. "Oh, and I might be a bit late picking you up. I have to make a couple of stops after my team meeting but I'll text you to let you know." He adds. "Okay, no worries. I can wait, it's no big deal." I reply.

** After Practice **

"Hey coach, is it okay if I stay out here a bit longer? I have a few things I want to work on if that's okay?" I asked leaning up against the boards and grabbing my water bottle for a quick drink. "Yeah, no problem at all. I'll just let the Zamboni driver know so that way they don't come out to flood the ice while you're still out here." Coach says picking up the bucket of pucks and stepping off the ice. "Thanks coach!" I reply putting my water bottle back down on the boards and getting back out there to work on some trick shots.

After a while, I had finally got off the ice. I went to the team dressing room and took off my gear before having a quick shower and changing back into my street clothes. As I pick up my bag and sticks, my phone dings with a text notification from Austin saying that he's waiting for me out front. I make my way out of the dressing room and down the hall toward the lobby. Once I get to the lobby, I stop at the front desk and give the girl the key to my team's dressing room. "Have a good one!" I smile. "Thanks, you too!" She replies before I head out the door.

When I step outside, I see Austin leaning up against the side of the truck, arms crossed across his chest and smiling when he sees me. I go up to the back of the truck and put the tailgate down. I put my gear in the back and give Austin a quick peck on the lips before going to the passenger's side and hopping in. "How was practice beautiful?" He asks buckling up his seatbelt. "Not bad. I stayed on the ice for a while longer after practice was done so that I could work on some new trick shots." I reply. "How was your meeting?" I ask. "It was alright. Just went over game footage from our past games and talked strategies for our away game next week." He replies. "Which I got you a pair of tickets to come to watch us on the road." He adds as a smile creeps up on my face. "You know I'll be there ready to cheer you." I reply.
