~ Allison ~
I smile at the puck that Austin placed in my hand. "You know, this is how it all started." I say holding the puck up toward him. "Tossing a puck into the crowd and it landing right into my lap." I add. "Don't forget me signing it and sneaking my phone number on it after the game." He smirks. "How can I forget! Leah bugged me about it for three days after that game!" I reply as he laughs. "Hey, what do you say? Should we get out of here?" He asks. "Sure, I'm tired and my feet are starting to hurt." I reply.
** In the Truck **
"Any special requests for a late-night snack?" Austin asks as we cruise through the city. "Not gonna lie, I'm kinda craving chicken nuggets and fries right now." I reply. "Alright, McDonald's it is then!" He says turning into the plaza and making his way into the drive-thru. When we pull up to the speaker, he gives them our order and then drives up to the window to pay and get our food. He hands me the bag as they pass him our drinks. "Thank you!" I exclaim. "You're welcome my lady." He replies with that gorgeous smile of his. "You okay to go up to the cabin for the night?" He asks. "Yeah, I'm cool with that." I reply.
** At the Cabin **
"Here we are!" Austin says as we pull up to the cottage a couple of hours later. I get out of the truck and stretch before following him inside. "Want anything to drink?" He asks. "A water's fine please." I reply as I lean against the island. "Thank you." I say as he slides a bottle across the counter toward me. "Well, what would you like to do?" Austin asks before taking a drink. "Movie?" I say, shrugging my shoulders as it comes out more as a question. "I'm down." He replies.
After the movie was finished, Austin put on a new one. "Did you need anything before I press play?" He asks. "Well, if I would have known ahead of time that we were coming up here, I would have brought some comfier clothes with me. Because these jeans are really starting to get uncomfortable." I reply. Austin doesn't say a word when he gets up off the couch. "Here, you can put these on if you want." He says a couple of minutes later handing me one of his shirts. "Thanks." I say before getting up and going to the bathroom to change.
"All better?" He asks once I come back wearing one of his baggy ass t-shirts. "Much better thank you." I reply taking my seat back on the couch cuddling close to Austin as he presses play before pulling a blanket over us.
** The Next Morning **
I woke up in unfamiliar surroundings this morning before quickly realizing that I was at the cabin with Austin. I check the time on my phone as it reads 5:33 AM. Ugh, why am I awake this early? I ask myself as I feel Austin moving beside me. I turn gently to see him open his eyes. "Morning beautiful." He says in a raspy morning voice. I laugh lightly as he stretches. "Morning sleepy head." I reply.
"Wanna watch the sunrise over the lake?" He asks. "I'd love to." I reply as I get up and head to the bathroom to change back into my jeans and hoodie. "I'll be in the kitchen making protein smoothies." He shouts as I'm walking down the hall. "Okay!" I shout back.
