I grabbed Mia's arm, stopping her from opening the door.

"What?"

"I've still got 50 seconds." I smirked and she shook her head.

"Are you serious?"

"He deserves it trust me."

"I know he deserves it. He's a prick." I crossed my arms and tilted my head at her. "I don't like him. I'm done pretending I do. I warned you."

"I know you did." I sighed. "He was complaining about Thomas again."

"AGAIN." I nodded at her and pressed my lips together, raising my eyebrows. I wasn't shocked. "The cheek of him."

"Mia-"

"No. The guy goes around at every fucking party, hands on the hips of any girl he can see but you do it as part of your fucking hobby you've been doing since we were 10 and it's a big deal. See this is why I hate him. The sooner you two break up the better. God you're bad bitch era is going to be fucking phenomenal."

I looked up at the door as it was pulled open quickly. She glared at him as he stormed down the corridor.

"Poppy."

"William."

"We said 30 minutes."

"And oh-" I looked at my watch. "Look at that. Bang on 30 minutes." I smiled sweetly at him and he shook his head. He was pissed. I could see it in his eyes.

"Are you coming out tonight Pops?" I looked at Mia then Will. Then back to Mia.

"What time?"

"Meet me at mine at 7?"

"Sure." I nodded and started walking towards the door. If he was already pissed, no need in not doing something. It's not like I didn't know what was going to happen next anyway. We'd get to mine, have a screaming match. He'd storm out, maybe punching a few things on his way. Then I'd go to Mia's, go to the party with her. I'll watch him flirt with a few other girls then he'll come back to me, drunk and begging. He'd say he's sorry. He'll kiss me. Remind me of the past 4 years. And we'd be fine.

I walked past him as he stood staring at Mia. She knew how to push his buttons as much as me. I hadn't been to a party in months because of him. I missed my friends. I missed seeing people outside of classes and practice.

Leaning my back against the car I watch him stomp over like a toddler who'd been forced to share his toys. It was kind of funny. But laughing wouldn't make the situation any worse. Or better.

"What the fuck was that?"

"What was what?" I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards me.

"You didn't even ask if you could go out tonight."

"Oh so now I need permission to go out?" I pushed him back. That was new.

"Poppy-"

"Don't fucking Poppy me. Who do you think you are? You're not my father Will. I don't need to ask your permission for fuck all. If I want to go out with my friends I'm going to and you can't stop me." I moved past him, deciding Mia could drive me home.

"Like fuck you are." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, picking me up and putting me in his car. He fastened my seatbelt and flicked the button on the door, turning on child lock so I couldn't get out. The door slammed and I watched him walk around the front of the car calmly getting in and fastening himself. "We can go out tonight if that's what you want Pops. I just wish you'd asked me first so we could talk about it. I was looking forward to a quiet night with you."

I crossed my arms and huffed at him. He'd have ended up at the party even if I'd have said no. He'd say he was going home but Mia would send me pictures.

"You'd have gone anyway." I sighed, the words coming out as a whisper

"What was that baby?" He put his hand on my thigh, rubbing slightly.

"Nothing." We drove down the road in silence.

"This outfit is much better by the way. You look good." I gave him a half hearted smile. I hated it.

"Thanks."

"What are you wearing tonight?"  I shrugged.

"Whatever you choose." He looked at me and tilted his head as he looked back to the road.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Nothing. I'm fine."

"Then tell your face. Because you look upset." I sighed and put on my fake smile. It was too commonly on these days.

"I'm fine, see? Smiling." He chuckled at me and gripped my thigh tight before he let go, bringing it back to his own.

"What about some simple jeans and that crop top you have. The one that crosses at the front."

"It's a bit too casual for a party isn't it? I'll be sat down most of the night. It'll just look like a tee-shirt."

"I mean sure I guess." He sighed. "I don't know if we can stay long baby. I've got some work to do."

"I don't want to stay long anyway. An hour tops." He nodded.

"Okay. We'll stay an hour and then I'll bring you home so you can sleep."

He didn't have any work to do. I knew exactly why he wanted me to wear what he'd chosen and I knew why he wanted to bring me home after an hour.

He was starting to take me for a mug but it would all be worth it. I nearly had everything I needed and I'd be gone before he even knew I'd bee collecting it all.

"Can I have your phone?" I looked at him. "Mines dead and I'm bored." He nodded and I grabbed it from the middle of the dash sitting my back to the door.

"Do you want a coffee?"

"OOO. Yes please." I tilted my head at him and he smiled brightly. Couldn't wait to rip that from his face. I unlocked his phone and opened up his chat with her. He'd named her Mum. As if I didn't know he only called his mum by her first name. They very rarely spoke. I wasn't stupid. He thought I was. I wasn't.

I took some more screenshots of their sexting and had to force myself not to throw up. I sent them to myself, deleting the message on his end and then deleting the screenshots. I was used to this now. I'd been doing it for a month.

I couldn't wait to ruin his life.
