I filled my cup up again as the crowd started to fill in. They were all staring at me. But I didn't feel nervous. I was angry. I'd been blasting music before the party and the same songs were set to play through the house for the next two hours to keep me that way. I wouldn't back down. Not tonight.

"You okay there?" I looked at Mia and nodded, taking a deep breath.

"Nervous." She smiled and pushed my hand, bringing the plastic cup to my mouth.

"Drink then. Can't be nervous if your wasted." I smiled at her. "Plus you look hot as fuck. Like I'd switch teams for you tonight." She winked and I laughed loudly.

"You wish babe." My phone buzzed in my jacket pocket and I pulled it out.

We're here.

"They're here." I looked around. It was packed now. Thank god. I didn't want this going down and the party not even be starting.

I took a deep sip from my cup as the house burst into applause for the game winners as they stepped into my house. Let's do this then. Mia raised her eyebrows and looked down into the cup she was drinking from.

"Oh god what."

"He. Is. Pissed." I pressed my lips together. "I don't even think he's seen you yet either." I chuckled and slowly turned around.

He'd seen me now. His eyes were pitch black I could see him from here as he started pushing through the crowd to me.

"Hold onto something people." I muttered to Mia who moved around so she was behind me but a little closer, standing slightly to the side. "Things are about to get messy."

"Poppy."

"Hi Will." I tilted my head and smiled sweetly. "Good game today."

"We need to talk." He looked at Mia then me "Now."

"Ummm, I don't think so. I'm good here thanks." Fall Out Boy started playing in the back ground and it gave me the push I needed.

"It wasn't a question."

"I know it wasn't." I crossed my arms. "What's wrong?"

"I'll tell you when you come with me."

"No thanks."  I put my cup down. The anger was fuelling me now and Mia took a step back slightly as I took my jacket off and handed it to her. I could feel people's eyes on me. "Hey. I have a question for you and I want you to be honest. Can you do that?"

"Of course. I'd never lie to you baby." I raised an eyebrow and push against my teeth, holding back a laugh.

"Who's Ashley?"

"Ash- I don't know an Ashley." He was fumbling.

"Mhm." I nodded. "She's the girl that left the hickey on your neck on Saturday night right?" He looked between me and Mia as she started laughing behind me. "No point in lying to me Will."

"I'm not-"

"Oh but you so are. Because here's the thing, you butt dialled me again Saturday night, but facetime again. I saw everything. I've got the video if you want to see it." I put my hand back and Mia passed me my phone, the video already playing. I held it up to his face and watched as it dropped.

"You knew-"

"Oh I've known for 7 weeks. I've just been waiting for you to fuck up like that."

"No one's going to believe you. We're perfect together." He stepped forward and went to put his hands on my hips as I backed up to the wall, pulling myself up so I was sat on an end table. "I'm sorry baby." I laughed, throwing my head back.
