Laying down in the middle of the home gym floor seemed like the right idea right now. It wasn't even 7am and I'd done a full 2 hours none stop in here. I was tired and sweating and struggling to breathe. But my mind was clear. Only the music flicking through my ears and counting my breathes.

I looked at my watch and rolled my eyes. Not fast enough. Catch your breathe and do it again Pops.

"Staring is rude you know." I pulled an earphone out, having enough of him hovering by the doorway like he had been for the last 5 minutes.  I stood up, still panting to catch my breathe.

"How long have you been up?" I put my bottle back down on the bench and wiped myself with a towel. I was drenched. Gross.

"You presume I've slept?" I smirked at him.

"You haven't slept?" He walked closer and sat down beside my bottle, looking up at me inquisitively.

"I'm joking. I woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep." I shrugged.

"Seph that's less than 4 hours. You can't possibly function on that."

"Anything less and I'd be worried. 4 hours is a good amount for me don't worry about it." I let out a deep breath as my breathing started returning to normal. "What are you doing up anyway?"

"Body clock." He shrugged. He still looked worried.

"I'm fine Em." I tilted my head.

"You don't look fine. You look like you're pushing yourself too hard."

"Okay take a step back for me. I know my body better than anyone else. I'm not pushing myself too far, I know my limits. And I'm not close yet." He sighed and looked down at the floor before back up to me.

"You're right. Sorry. I shouldn't get involved."

"Thank you."  He stayed watching me for a few minutes. I didn't want to move. The thought of him just sitting there and watching me work out was kind of off putting. I don't know why.

"If you give me 5 minutes I'll get changed and I'll join you."

"I'm nearly done." I crossed my arms and tilted my head at him again. I might as well just keep it here at this point with him.

"Just-" He stood up and put a hand on my hip. The goosebumps appeared instantly. His touch alone was enough to make me smile. "Just don't move. 5 minutes. I really want to work out with you."

"Why?"

"Because I really want to beat you when we're next on the track." He dropped his hand off my hip and stepped back towards the door. "5 minutes. Please?"

"Fine but be quick." I rolled my eyes and sat down, scrolling through my music and queueing up a good selection. I'd normally put it over speaker but I know Mia would murder me if I disrupted her sleep, never mind the boys.

I sat there, waiting for him. Scrolling through Instagram. I stopped on a post from one of the people from school. I didn't know their name. Didn't even know I had them on here. I could see Ash and Will in the background of the post, making out on a dining room table. Disgusting.

"Gross." I said to myself, unfollowing the guy immediately. I didn't need to see that shit. I do need to post some photos of the last few days though. I hadn't posted in a while. I'll take some tonight. Get dressed up and have a good night in with everyone.

I threw my head between my legs, gathering all my hair as I stood up and walked over to the mirror, singing along quietly to the music playing in both my ears and starting to comb through my hair to take out the bumps and make it smooth.
