My phone started buzzing under my bum and I lifted slightly moving so I could answer.

"Hello?"

"Where are you? I've text you twice."

"I'm at home." I opened my eyes and they widened on a shirtless Sonny laid next to me. I slowly tried to stand up but his arm was around my waist, holding tighter as I tried to leave.

"Don't go yet." He whispered and I looked up at him and he pulled me back into his chest. My heart was beating out of my chest as his fingers drew sleepy circles on my stomach.

"Do you even know what time it is?" I pulled the phone back and saw the time.

"10am."

"Yes. We're supposed to be setting off in an hour and you're not up hassling me like normal. It's a good job Jake knew I needed to be up."

"Mia." I stopped her talking. "Stop rambling. You talking to me isn't going to do anything. I slept in. Big deal. Go get ready and just come whenever. If we get there later than planned. It's whatever. No ones setting off until Sonny texts them anyway. And he won't until I tell him me and you are ready. Relax."

"You're too chilled out today."

"I just had a nice night." I looked up at him and he smiled, his eyes still closed. I swallowed deeply, trying to refocus my brain away from where I was laying.

"Hm." Mia huffed. "I'll get ready and call you when I'm coming round."

"Okay. Bye." I hung up the phone and threw it down to the bottom of the sofa by my feet.

"She's got a stick up her arse this morning." Oh god his voice was so deep in a morning. Why were sleepy boys so fucking attractive. I need a cold shower. Jesus. "Seph?"

"Hm yeah?" He chuckled.

"You went quiet there sweetheart. Are you okay?" I turned so I was laid on my back looking up at him. Sweetheart. Oh my god stop it.

"Yeah I'm fine." I smiled at him as he slowly opened his eyes. "What happened last night?"

"I think we passed out during the second movie." He looked up at the screen where 10 things I hate about you was on the screen. "All I remember is me being roasting and you were freezing so I took my top off and you cuddled into me to keep warm."

So that explains the fact he was topless. Perfectly defined muscles on full display for me. Don't look at them Pops. Don't even think about the fact your heads in his lap. I SAID DON'T.

He brought his free hand up to my hair, running his fingers through it lightly brushing out any knots he came across before going back again. I closed my eyes lightly at the feeling. I could sleep for hours right here. I felt calmer right now in this moment than I ever had. Safer in his arms than I felt even in my parents'.

"Seph?"

"Hm?"

"Don't fall back to sleep. Mia will kill me if I answer the door."

"I'll kill you first for moving." I mumbled and he chuckled.

"You're comfy there?"

"Yeah."

"Good. I won't move then." I sighed and slowly opened my eyes, looking up at him again. He was doing the same, looking down at me.

"I should go get ready." His face gave me a half hearted smile but his eyes were begging me not to move. I didn't want to. But I couldn't stay here.

"You don't want to." His eyes narrowed. "You have to, but you want to stay here. I can see it in your eyes." I watched his eyes light up that I was feeling the same.

"I really should." I moved slowly, sitting up straight before moving to my knees and grabbing the light controller from the shelf the projector was on. "Watch your eyes." I turned the lights on, wincing at their brightness as my eyes adapted.

"It's too bright." He groaned, rolling into the sofa face first. I chuckled at him.

"Come on I need to show you where you can shower and get sorted." I stood up on the sofa, turning the projector off at the plug and turning slowly to get down, back onto the floor.

My back felt tight and tense. I needed to stretch big time. I'll wait until I'm alone. He didn't need to see it. I walked over and pulled the cupboard open, turning off the laptop before quickly closing the doors again. When I did he was stood behind them, shirt in hand with his joggers hanging low on his hips, showing the top of his boxers.

"Nearly gave me a heart attack." I put my hand over my heart and took a deep breath as he chuckled.

"Sorry."

"It's fine." I looked up at him and smiled. He held his hand out with my phone in it and I took it from him. "Come on then." I'll have to come in here and tidy up after I'm ready. It's a mess.

"Did we have a popcorn fight?" I chuckled as I turned back to him "There's popcorn in places I've never seen it before."

"I think we may have at one point. I don't remember much to be honest."

"Me neither." I turned my head back around and he grabbed my free hand, pulling me so I stopped and turned around.

"Nothing happened between us Seph. We just slept and cuddled. I promise you." I looked down at his hand that had wrapped itself in mine so naturally. Like that's where it had been missing from his whole life. I tightened my grip on his and looked up.

"I know it didn't. I trust you Em."

"New nickname?"

"Eh maybe. Jury's still out on it." I smiled, staring into his eyes again. "Is this scaring you as much as it is me?"

"You're scared?" He looked concerned.

"I'm scared to let anyone in again."

"Seph," He sighed and put his free hand on my cheek "I'll never hurt you. Not in any of the ways he did. I swear on my mothers life."

I don't know why.

Maybe I really am just too naïve for this world.

But I believed him.
