"Come on then." I pulled Mia with me and she sighed as I did. "If we want them to come next week we have to A. Ask them and B. Be able to spend time with them."

"I know I just can't remember which one I kissed." I laughed at her, taking a sip from my coffee as we got closer to the table.

"Hi boys."

"Hi Pops, Mia." I watched as one of the guys eyed Mia up and smiled. Him. I nudged her as they made space for us to sit in with them "How was your weekend?"

"Brilliant. I was dying until last night." I chuckled. "You guys really did just keep putting drinks in front of me." They all laughed lightly.

"We thought you needed it." I looked up and smiled. I think his name was Blake?

"I did. Thanks for all of that by the way. We really appreciate all your help and support." I looked at Mia who nodded in agreement. "So We wanted to ask you all something as a thank you."

"Oh that sounds interesting." Blake punched the guy beside him in the arm for speaking.

"I have a house down on the coast. We're going up there for spring break but was wondering if you guys wanted to come for the week too?"

"All of us?"

"Well there's only 6 bedrooms. We'll share one b=so the other 5 are for between whoever can come."

"I'll come." I looked up at Sonny who was sat beside me. He shrugged and looked down at me. "What else have I got to do here. No girlfriend and no best friend to hang with." I rubbed his arm gently before turning to the rest of the guys.

"What kind of beds are they?"

"Just standard kings. You'll have to share." The group all looked at each other and a bunch of them dropped out.

"Who else is coming?"

"So far just me and Mia." I looked to her and she nodded.

"I'm in." Blake raised his hand.

"Anyone else?"  A few more boys held their hands up and I nodded. "Okay you guys can work out who's sleeping with who." They all giggled. "We're not sleeping with any of you. That's not happening, just so we're clear. Pants will be remaining on or else." I eyed them all.

"We saw what you can do on Friday Pops. We're not going to even try to fuck with you." Another boy spoke and I gave a single nod before looking up at Sonny.

"I have to go, but I'll text you the details and I'll speak to you later this week?"

"Sure thing. See you later." I stood up and pulled on Mia's shirt forcing her to come out of the chair. I spun on my heels putting the straw of my coffee in my mouth as we started walking.

"Oop. Look who it is." Mia bumped my shoulder as we slowly made our way through the tables and Will was stood watching me. I smirked at his black eye and nose. Holding back a laugh. Everyone was watching him.

"Poppy. Can we talk?" I looked him up and down and laughed.

"What did I even see in him Mia?" I bit down on the straw and used my other hand to put my glasses on my head in my hair as we stood there, feet from each other neither of us willing to move.

"Not a clue." Mia chuckled beside me. "Was he good in bed?"

"No." I looked down and laughed. "Definitely not."

"Okay I know I hurt you Poppy-"

"Not a clue what you saw in him Pops. Can't see anything myself."  I shrugged.

"You okay here?" I looked up at Sonny and smiled.

"We're perfect. Just trying to work out what I saw in him." He laughed and put a hand on my hip, squeezing to let me know he had my back. I knew it was just for him though. To get back at him for sleeping with Ashley, he was acting like he'd taken me. He hadn't. But Will didn't need to know that.

I watched his eyes move between my hip, then Sonny, then me.

"Oh. Where did you go on Friday anyway? Did you leave with some guy?"

"Now now Mia. I'm not one to kiss and tell." I patted Sonny's hand and looked up at him. "I'll see you later yeah?" He nodded and I smiled, wrapping my arm into Mia's "Let's go. There's nothing good going on here."

Pulling on Mia's arm out of the cafeteria and too out lockers. I let out a deep breath I didn't know I'd been holding in.

"So what's going on with you and Sonny?" She raised her eyebrows as I opened my locker.

"What do you mean?"

"His hand on your hip on Friday, and today. You guys sitting with each other whenever you can. You're texting him. Him jumping at next week as soon as you offered it."

"Nothing Mia. I mean, he was with me when I got the face time. When we were driving to the party we were talking and I told him everything that Will did to me then I said I thought he was cute." Mia stopped and looked at me, her face completely flat. "I said I wasn't coming onto him, just that when I was younger I used to be open, and honest about everything. And that because of him I hadn't and I was feeling like my old self again. It just slipped out. He laughed and said he was glad I was feeling better and the rest of the ride was pretty much silence. I asked him if he knew Ash and he said yeah he dated her once that's how Will knew her and I asked when they split up and he said now. As in like, that was him finding out he was being cheated on. I told him."

"Oh shit."

"Yeah I know. I was running Thursday night and he showed up and we raced and we spoke about how he started dating her and about how I got fit and how I can run as fast as I can. Then we talked about how pissed Will was and how it was because I wasn't being his delicate little princess. But then Sonny told me he thinks the attitude suits me. That I was too soft and innocent before and now I had this confidence and in his exact words its 'glowing' from me."

She slammed her locker door shut and I furrowed my brow at her.

"Oh come off it you really don't see it do you?"

"See what? We're friends."

"Oh Pops." She put her hand on my cheek and smiled. "He likes you. Like, he LIKE  likes you." I shook my head and pulled my bag onto my shoulder.

"No he doesn't."
