I pulled my bag onto my shoulder. I really was looking forward to going home. I was starving, and tired and I needed to study. Like really focus on studying. I'd worked out long enough between today's early morning run to tire me out so I could sleep and then practice.

I pulled my phone out, reading the notification from Em.

I'm waiting by your car xx
Why are you always the last one out lol xx

Because I always run a few laps before I come out.

Got to keep faster than you somehow. xxI'm coming out now, give me a few minutes xx

I locked my phone and pushed it into his coat pocket that I'd not taken off until practice. It was mine now. I had my own, but I wanted his.

"Poppy." I looked up quickly and rolled my eyes.

"William."

"You look... Well."  He looked me up and down. I'd worn shorts and a sports bra for practice today, I think that paired with the jacket was pissing him off. His eyes were dark. Don't laugh Pops.

"Thanks." I stepped over the bench to the other side of the changing room and started walking past him. He held his arm out to stop me and I did, putting my tongue on the front of my teeth. "What do you want William."

"Don't call me that."

"What your name?"

"You never call me that." I rolled my eyes and pulled the bag onto my shoulder more. "You only call me that when you're mad at me." His eyes switched instantly into a baby blue as he fluttered his lashes, trying to make me forget everything. It had worked every time before.

"I'm not mad William. In fact I don't feel anything about the whole thing at all."

"So you're not angry, or upset anymore?"

"Nope." I shrugged and pulled the bag tighter on my shoulder, grasping the books in my other hand to stop the slipping. "Why would I be?"

"Because I was being stupid and I didn't know what I had." He stepped over the bench and tried to step towards me.

"Back the fuck up before I punch you again."

"Baby-"

"No. Don't baby  me." I pushed him aside and walked past him. "I'm not yours to call that." He grabbed my bag strap, pulling me back as I reached the door. I turned and pushed his hand off it, forcing him back a few steps when I put my hand on the center of his chest and pushed. Hard.

"Yes you are. You've had your 2 weeks of fun to get back at me. Now we're even. We can start a fresh now."

"Sorry I'm not single." I shrugged and he dropped my bag. "Wouldn't take you back even if I was." I turned back around and went to pull the door open but he put all his weight into his hand to stop me.

"You're not his."

"I am more his than I am yours." I pulled his jacket closer into me, his scent making me strong enough to handle him.

"God you're being so difficult." He sighed and looked down at me. "I'm here literally begging you, tell you I'm sorry, asking you to come back to me. Like you always wanted. To have me begging for you right?"

"I never wanted you to beg for me William. I wanted you to love me."

"I do love you."

"No you don't. You love having me to show off. You love the attention that dating me gave you. You never loved me."
