Ch 14

Beam was looking at Kit who was sewing a doll for Akira. Kit was unreasonably silent. Beam knew Kit was avoiding him.
He just answered when Beam ask something.

After Kit brought him home from jail Beam asked him many times how much money he gave the police officer to release him but Kit just remained silent.
Beam was worried about the debt collectors but they gave him a extra month for paying the debt. No, it was a act of kindness. They gave some kick, slap and some extra interest of the debt. So, Beam would have to pay double in the next month.

Kit was being extra cautious arround him these days. Some days ago he just went missing. When he returned Kit was not being himself. He starred at the things hopelessly . He even didn't touch Akira or carried Akira in his arms like he always do.

He even told Beam that he had some extra works after their work at the hotel. So, he couldn't go home with Beam. The same thing happened in the morning too.

But today he forced himself and Akira in Kit's room by saying that Akira wanted the doll Kit promised him to sewing.

It was already midnight. Beam even bought some dumplings to eat together as dinner.

Yesterday, when Beam saw Kit leaving from the work, Beam requested the manager to give him a early off by promising to work extra hours other day.
Beam never asked for an early leave from work, so, the manager allowed him.

Beam wanted to ask Kit for eating dumplings as their dinner. But before Beam reached to Kit a black car stopped. Two men came out from the car and dragged Kit inside the car. Kit tried to resist them but suddenly stop and let them dragged him.

Beam was frozen on his place. He wanted to help Kit but everything became so fastly that he didn't even have time to scream for help. Beam was internally shaking.

The next day Kit greeted Beam totally normally.

Beam wanted Kit to tell him what was wrong with him. Beam thought it was his fault because Kit spent his money to released him from jail and Kit's debt collectors were bothering him .

"Stop doing whatever you are doing." Kit broke Beam's train of thought.

" Huhh " Beam became confused. He was not doing anything.

" I know you saw everything yesterday" Kit sighed.

Beam realised with a shock face. Kit knew he saw him yesterday.

" You know now that I'm not a good person to be with. So, it will be better if you stay away from me " Kit emotionlessly said still sewing the doll.
Kit was not even looking at Beam's eyes like he didn't want Beam to see his eyes.

" What are you saying Kit ? " Beam asked while controlling his emotions.

" I'm telling you and Akira to stay away from me . Should I have to tell you what to do ? Don't talk to me , smile at me or do whatever you do everyday . I'm tired from both of  you . You two are being too clingy and comfy with me , which I don't like.. it's just... just stay away from me " Kit frustratingly said.

There was a long silence , only Akira's slow breathing could be heard. Akira was sleeping on Kit's thin sleeping mattress on the floor peacefully.

" Are you all right Kit?" Beam concernedly asked while touching Kit's arm.

Kit flinched when Beam touched his arm.

Beam got closed to Kit to inspect Kit's arm but Kit flinched away again.

" Don't touch me." Kit slapped away Beam's hand which were trying to inspect his arm .

But Beam was not going to back away easily. This time Beam hold Kit's sweater and pull it up. Beam's eyes Beam wide. He started to panicking seeing the purple bruises on Kit's stomach.

" What..." Beam was stunned to the point that he was speechless.

Then Beam's eyes reached Kit's eyes. Kit was silently crying. Beam just hugged Kit trying to console from wherever he was suffering from. Beam didn't hug him tightly because he was afraid to hurt Kit more. Beam knew there were more of those bruises inside his clothes. Kit clung to Beam crying like his life depends on it. Kit was crying his heart out whatever he was enduring these days.

Beam let kit cry in his arms . Beam couldn't understand, how someone hurt kit this badly, who was so loving and caring  . Didn't they see Kit's adorable face ? Didn't they see how innocent he was? Kit felt so small in his arms, who was defenseless and helpless. Beam was small to but Kit was more thinner than him maybe because of lack of nutrition.

After an hour of crying Kit calm down a little bit .

" That's my Step-brother" Kit silently said.

" Huh..who?" Beam didn't understand.

" with whom I went yesterday " tears started to form in Kit's eyes again.
