Ch.19

" Are you crazy?" A man shouted at Kit.

"Why the authorities let this kind of unstable people roam freely in the hospital?" The woman with the man eyed Kit with disgust.

People started to form around them hearing the shouting.

Kit started to shivering again. He was behind Beam trying to hide himself from the couple.

They were waiting in the line but Beam let Kit's hand go for a moment to search something in his bag. Beam thought Kit would be okay. But Kit grabbed the arm of another man in the line who was also waiting in the line with a child on his arms.

Kit was not in his complete sense and mistook that person as Beam.  Kit hugged that person's arm tightly and didn't let him go when the person was telling him.
The person and his wife started shouted at him without knowing Kit's condition.

The man jerked Kit away harshly. Beam caught Kit on time. Beam was saying sorry to the couple but they didn't stop their insults and shouting.

" Where is the guards?" The man shouted again.

" What happened?" A guard came there running and  asked.

" This person here is crazy. He suddenly hugged my husband and didn't let him go. I think he was trying to steal his money from the bag." The wife accused.

" No its not true" Beam tried to defend Kit desperately.

Kit was starring at the ground while trying to hide behind Beam. He was holding Beam's sweater in his back like his life depends on it. Beam could feel it, Kit was in the verge of having a Panic attack.

" You should watch your man lady. There are sluts everywhere." Someone commented from the crowd.

" These whores are so cheap nowadays " people started to give Kit dirty look.

" I think he is also with this whore " someone accused Beam.

" Please check your bags . " The guard said to the people present there.

People started to search in their bags if there was something missing.

"We came here for treatment. He is sick. Don't say such things " Beam requested the people with a panic voice.

The kid who was in that man's arm started to cry.

" He also tried to harm my child " the lady again accused.

" Search in his bag too" someone pointed at Beam's bag.

Beam clutch his bag tightly while remembering the previous incidents, when he was falsely accused of stealing and they even took his hard working money.

" No " Beam said while taking a few steps back. Fear was visible in Beam's eyes.

Another guard held Kit's arm tightly and with a jerk seperate him from Beam.

" It was my money" Beam miserably told the guard who was searching in Beam's bag.

Kit started to freak out again , when the guard was sternly holding Kit. Kit tried to get free from the guards tight hold. When Kit was struggling with the guards hold , his scarf on the neck fell down on the ground revealing the bite marks on his neck.

" Look at his neck. " " How shameless?"
" Whore".....

This time people started throwing more hurtful words towards Kit.

The guard took out the money from Beam's bag .

" Please give my money back" Beam begged while trying to reach out to his bag.
