2. Apology
After the incident, Company Xyz received a call from the furious Mistress Louise Zane.
“Look, it’s not my fault…that kid had no talent…plus his attitude…and he said he wasn’t interested at all…So, why would I apologize to that idiot…argh…I would rather resign rather than do that humiliating thing!” Kandice replied infuriated.
“Brother, if only you CAN!” Anna replied calmly. “Sigh…I know…sheesh…”Kandice responded.
“Brother, you know the Zane Company was our number one supporter if they back out because you don’t want to handle her son, our company will be dead…think of it…in handling him…this will repay all your debts…how’s that for a deal…” Vice President Anna said.
“I can pay it…just give that bastard to other manager…”
“No…can’t do…because the mistress requests it…she wanted her son to be like Adrian…”
“Adrian?! Hahaha…you must be joking…he doesn’t have any talent…his fashion sense is terrible…and most of all he’s UGLY! I swear An, if you saw his appearance you would understand me…”
“KANDICE!” his sister was angry. “You don’t have any right to say that to anyone…everyone had a chance to show their ability.”
“Eck…okay…okay…calm down…I’ll go tomorrow.” Kandice surrendered. His sister was assertive than him as ever.
“Why, not now?” Anna asked. “I have a date…” Kandice smiled.
Anna sighed, “Jeeez…” yet she smiled back.
In a private for elite restaurant,
“Care to have a company?” A handsome brown haired guy said while sitting beside Kandice.
“You’re late, Adrian…” Kandice chuckled.
“Ha…since when being five minutes early than the given time is late…you just came early than me…” Adrian replied and kissed him.
“H-hey Ad, we came here to eat.” Kandice shoved Adrian and arrange his tie.
“Sorry, just miss you…” Adrian smiled. “We always see each other everyday…” Kandice replied.
“Yeah…during work…and you’re so uptight…” Adrian pouted. Kandice felt a little guilt, “What do you want…other than this.” He smiled. Adrian was happy and looked like a puppy then replied,
“Stay at my place tonight…” “Alright.” Kandice agreed.
At Adrian’s Condo,
They were sitting on the chair watching a movie. Adrian was hugging Kandice while laughing. Then Adrian suddenly asked. “Hey, the company gives you another talent?”
“Uhm…yeah…but he’s not your caliber…and not interested at all…” Kandice replied while eating an ice cream.
“Good…’cause I was about to get jealous…”
“Haha…don’t joke around…you’re the only one…” Kandice replied. Adrian started to kiss him from neck downward. “H-hey…enough…we didn’t talk about this before…” Kandice tried to pull out.
“nhnnn…No can do…we’re lovers after all…” Adrian grinned. Kandice gave in.
Next morning, Kandice went to the Zane’s Mansion.
“Whoah…this place is unbelievable…” he gaped after seeing the a la Buckingham palace mansion. Though he was used to see the magnificent mansion of celebrities but this one was simply amazing. One of the servants accompanied him to the guest room. After awhile Mistress Louise came in. She looked strict and scary but upon seeing Kandice she became mild and sweet.
“Please to meet you, Madam…” Kandice extended his hand. Mistress Louise came near to kiss his cheeks.
“Madam, about the other day’s incident…my apology…it was my fault…” Kandice tried to be sincere.
“Oh…no…no…darling…I know my son well…he is eccentric too…and...ooooohhhhh...I never thought that you are more handsome in person…” she chuckled and butted her eyelashes.
“Thank you, Madam, but I have a little bit problem with your son’s attitude towards this idea…he wasn’t interested.” Kandice explained.
“That I know…that is why I choose you to do everything to force him or else…” the mistress changed her facial expression to menacing glare.
“…I’ll try my best, Madam…” Kandice gulped.
