Chapter 6

-------------------------------

Harold can’t concentrate. He‘s making love with Regina but he keep on thinking of Wayne with that other guy earlier.

“Sh*t…this is the worse timing…”

“Honey, I think you’re tired let’s just continue it some other time…” Regina said then kissing him.

“Sorry…hun…”

He drove her home.

“Sh*T…you Wayne…it’s all your fault…”

He arrived at his apartment around 9:00 PM and directly went to his room for rest.

BUT…

11:00 PM - Still rolling to and fro in his bed…

12:00 MN – He stood out of his bed then walking around…

1:00 AM – Sitting on his bed and tapping his fingers on his knee…

2:00 AM – He’s standing then sitting and looking at the clock repeatedly…

3:00 AM – He went to the fridge and eating just anything he can grab in it…

4:00 AM – He sighed and cursed…

5:00 AM - Harold had a big eye bags. (^o^)

“ARRRGH! I CAN’T SLEEP…WHERE IS HE?” Harold can’t sleep his subconscious was waiting for Wayne but the later decided to stay with the other man for the night.

Wayne went home the next day.

“Good Morning!” He greeted Harold in his usual self again. The later slapped him.

“Hey…what did I do?” Wayne protested. Harold can’t say something like “Where did you spent the night?”  or “Who was the guy you were with the last night?” So he just said, “That was from yesterday’s teasing.”

“Sheeesh…can’t you take a joke…anyway…to appease you let’s have a dinner date on the 25th…”

“Where?” Harold replied he can easily bribe with food.

“In a famous French Cuisine…” Wayne smiled. Harold agreed.

--------------------------------

25th of July

Harold received a phone call from the company he had applied before. He was hired. In happiness he called Regina and asked her out for celebration. He forgot his dinner date with Wayne.

-------------------------------

Meanwhile Harold was waiting.

“Excuse me Sir but it’s about time for us to close…” the restaurant attendant informed him then handing the bill.

“Thank you I’ll be living soon…here’s the payment…” Wayne replied gloomily.

It was his birthday.

Then he received a message from Harold.

[I’m sorry I can’t make it today.] Harold did remember the dinner but it’s around 9:00 PM.

Wayne’s heart sank down when he read that. He expected that he will have someone to celebrate his birthday.

But he went out of the Restaurant and still waiting and hoping, a way of hurting himself more. The same way he do when he asked Allen to go with him instead of marrying a woman. Allen didn’t come.

“They’re really the same…” he murmured.

-----------------

Harold didn’t receive any reply on his message. For the fact that it was Wayne he thought that probably he’s still waiting. It’s proven.

“This is so troublesome…that stupid guy…always makes my life so difficult…” He can’t do anything about it since Wayne helped him when he had trouble before.

As he was driving he passes by in a jewelry shop and remembered how Wayne loves a certain necklace there.

He smiled, “Okay…I really hate explaining so I guess if I give this one he’ll shut up…” He used his credit card to pay it. No problem anymore, since he already got his job so he can pay the credit bill.

------------------

On the other hand Wayne was still waiting when someone spoke behind him.

“Still celebrating your birthday is this place…” A guy said giving a warm smile.

“Allen?” Wayne was stunned and tears came out of his eyes. He just realized that it wasn’t Harold he was waiting for all this time but the guy in front of him.

“Happy birthday…” Allen uttered then giving a box that containing a beautiful emerald necklace.

“…You still remember…the necklace I always longing for…” Wayne smiled.

“Yes, because I still love you…will you still be my lover?” Allen asked. He didn’t leave his wife. Actually they had a good and happy relationship. But Allen wanted both of them since it’s different to love a woman and a man.

--------------------------------

Harold reached the place. He heard and saw everything. He clenched his hand until his supposed to be gift was crumpled. Something’s aching in his heart.

-----------------------------------

Harold went home, he was still thinking, the guy called Allen was akin to his face.

“F*ck…does he think of me as his replacement before?” in anger he hit the honk of his car.

Wayne went home too, a bit contented.
