Enid's POV

I don't know why I keep staring at Wednesday. Probably because she looks so- um, different. And pretty.

"You look really pretty."

"I'm sure." She rolls her eyes.

"Are you dissing my skills, Addams?"

"Maybe I am."

"Can't do that until you've seen."

"Do you have a mirror?" She raises an eyebrow.

"Oh, um. No."

"What's your plan then?"

"You can look in the pond! See, I'm smart too!"

"Debatable."

We move towards the pond and then sit down. Wednesday leans in to see her reflection.

Wow. I mean wow. My makeup skills are perfect, of course, and Wednesday looks like an actual model. Light pink lipstick and eyeshadow, thin eyeliner, with impeccable design, and blush. The stars behind her made her look like... what? A goddess? Of course she'd look nicer if she weren't making a disgusted face.

"Ugh." She begins to rub it off.

"No!"

She looks at me, like she's gonna puke.

"You look great! You look, uh..." I trail off.

She sighs.

"Ok, I know you wouldn't wear this normally, and you can take it of in a minute, but at least let me take a picture to remember.

"Fine. But Enid Sinclair, if you show it to anyone, and I mean anyone, I will not hesitate to murder you."

"Ok, ok. Scoot next to the fire."

She does. I pull out my phone.

"Wait. we could've used my phone as a flashlight."

She glares. She looks pretty glaring, In a way.

"You gonna take a picture or are you just gonna stare at your masterpiece?"

"Oh. Uh, yeah."

I take one. Wow, I mean, it doesn't do her justice, but it's close. When I look up, Wednesday is washing her face in the pond. I walk over. I get an idea.

"Enid if you push me in I will drown you."

"Aww." I frown. So long for that one.

I sit down next to Wednesday, looking at her rub it off. It would be a good painting. Maybe I'll tell Xavier about it.

"So... you hate it that much?"

"Just because I'm barely accepting your... affection... does not mean I'm going to be ok with looking like a literal Barbie."

"Oh come on."

She finishes washing off the stuff, and looks at me. Without thinking, I put a hand to her face to rub off the water. She grabs my hand and holds it to the ground.

"I'm good."

"Sorry."

"It's fine."

Although I apologize, she is the one still holding my hand.

"Umm, want to head back?" I say, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, sure."

And so we do. I'm so glad she's letting me do things like this, although I do need to turn it down a little. Don't want to scare her away or something. Although I don't think I should be worried about scaring Wednesday Addams.

"This was, nice. Thanks for letting me do this Wednesday."

"It wasn't horrible." She says, looking away, but I think I can see a hint of a smile.

"Awww, I'm glad!"

"Mhm."

Wednesday's POV

Ok, I guess it wasn't torture. Close, but it was... nice, almost.

"Wednesday, are you listening?" Enid says, holding her head to the side, looking in my eyes.

"Yes."

"No you weren't." Enid sighs

"Sorry. Just thinking."

"About what- oh god Wednesday no one is stalking you there's no more murderers, we got the monster. Stop worrying all the time! It's a girls night out!"

"No, I was-"

"What." Enid looks a little annoyed.

"Just, uh."

"You suck at lying Wednesday."

"No. I wasn't thinking about the stalker. I was just thinking about earlier."

"When?" She looks surprised.

"Just that, uh."

Fuck. I don't like this. Why do I have to pour out my heart to Enid? Why didn't I just shut up and say I was thinking about my the stalker? That's what I should have been thinking about.

"It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think I kind of- um- liked it."

"AWWW!" Enid smiles so brightly I can barely see her eyes.

I feel sick. And definitely not the good kind.

She goes into hug me. I let her.
